That's a steal. If complete, I'll buy it for that. Hook me up. I'll try not to say anything to offend you for at least an hour or two.

    nice unscathed project!!

All that talk about DaveH and the beer reminds me of a popular song back in high school......"Pop A Top Again" Anyone know who sang that? (you'll probably have to be a redneck to know  )...and I still have the 8 track tape. :beer

Alan Jackson did a great cover of that tune a few years ago. Originally sung by Faron Young?

I am kind of fond of Tom T. Hall's 'I Like Beer' (it makes me a jolly good fellow).

There was also one done to the Clashes 'My Sherona'--'Nine Coronas' :beer

One of my all time favorites was done by some C & W singer named Highway 95, but we knew it best for the chorus: "Were you born an asshole". All I had was a cassette tape of it from my brother (still here somewhere) and used to play it and broadcast it through the CB's on our test trips across the country to one particular boss who fit it to a tee. He never did figure out who was doing it, but think he had a good idea. No one else had the balls to do it.

    "Were you born....an asshole"
"Or did you work at it your whole life"
    "Either way you did it.....
    "You sure turned out right"

    Were you born............ etc.

    "Now all your friends....are assholes
"You've known them your whole life
    "Someone even told me.....
"You've got an asshole for a wife.

    "I was talking....to your mutha...
    "Just the other night....
"Told her I thought you were an asshole
"She said, yeah, I thnk you're right.

Maybe out to get out the old Gibson and bring it to Stanton! Maybe best just to see if I still have the tape and play it through the cassette player n the truck.

We have this disgusting piece of human garbage in Michigan named Jeffery Fieger whose younger brother was in that band (the Clash). He died recently, I thiink of brain cancer. Hope it's genetic and runs in the family. Good song, though.

Asshole was Jack Kevorkian's lawyer, then got big time with the publicity and now only takes on high profile lawsuits against cities, states, etc. always racially based. Mega millionaire at your and my expense (one way or the other, we all pay for that in Michigan). He actually was the Democratic candidate for governor a few years back when he started a vendetta against the incumbent governor who kinda told itlike it was on one of Fieger's ridiculous lawsuits. Ended up getting the normal 43% of the vote (you could run an ear of corn here and get that). Now is pissed at the incumbent Attorney General and plans to run against him in the Fall election. What a sleazy scumbag.

    Is it noon yet? :beer

It's actually "The Knack" that did My Sharona. I know because I just packed the CD for the trip ......

Correct. From the debut album "Get The Knack" I believe. My preferred warped version was the opening scene in a Cheech & Chong movie with "My Scrotum."

That does sound better than the Clash. Maybe that was some Iowa or Kansas band.

Anyhow, still Fieger's brother. Both were big buddies of "JJ" Johnson of 94.7 WCSX. Kinda surprised at that.

C-1 Classical. Bought from old girlfriend who bought it new in 1964. Fat, short neck, (the guitar, not her.....she was a fox), cat gut strings. Fabulous sound.

Even have the old cardboard "alligator skin" case it came in.

Used to be good, too much arthritis now.

    Be nice now, Brian.
