No balls/torque....peak HP at 8270!

    well, ill admit..i sit on the fence when it comes to a debate of cars...because really, im into all sorts. look at my sig. i own 3 diff generes of cars. i really got into cars with the eclipse which is (gasp) a 4 banger. and yeah, ill agree...you drop 4k into my 4 banger and you drop 4k into a v8....the v8 will produce more HP per $ than the eclipse. dont think im some brainwashed ricer boy who thinks that in stock trim my 4 cyl is unbeatable and i smoke v8's all day long. i have the utmost respect for v6, v8, whatever. but i guess the fun part for me is starting from behind. starting out with a little 4 banger...tweaking the dog outta it...putting on aftermarket parts and having a fun car that CAN hang with and beat SOME v8's. it is my dream someday to add an aftermarket turbo and be pushing about 20psi. you gotta admit...when a v8 runs a 7...thats pretty good....but you hear about some 4 banger run a 7...your thinking holy ish! sure....the 4 banger prolly has 2-3x more money in it....but its the concept of doing equal or more with half the cyl....and 2x the cash haha.

    as for the s2000...they can hold their own pretty decently...and 9krpm redline on a piston driven engine in stock form is quite a feat. we are talking rotor motor or built race motor rev's there. would i buy one? prolly not. IMO every one iv heard sounds like a week whacker. in imports and domestics alike i like a deep robust throaty exhaust note as opposed to a raspy loud one. unfortunately alot of imports are synonomous with the latter..but not mine.
