Excellent news Mark; and great work. Do you think Tom and HPP might be interested in my new hood scoop...?

Rob you were very much in mind when I sheepishly asked about up coming seasons. The new and improved RDL with RA! Mike Wallagora has something he is trying to pull out of his sleeve also that would do well in the future.

When one of these magazines opens the door to us PS guys we need to crowd in.

    Jody ,

I got an idea so listen up, cause they're rare!

Either get Mark or Larry W. to shoe your car (it's OK once you get past the embarassment ,trust me I know) or let me drive it,and tell me there's a Big Mac just past the finish line.:

Either way easy 13's! Maybe 12's if you supersize it!

    Jody,

Don't sell yourself short. If I remember correctly your car out ran a bunch of larger CID Pontiacs last Sept. As your car sits today it should be able to run high 13's. With a gear swap to 3.90's or 4.33's :Brow: Mid-thirteens should be possible, even at your 3900+ Lb race weight. With additional tuning even lower ET's are possible.......

Don't let Threefidee fool you. We have been tweaking his setup this off season. It is very close already but we found a few items to fine tune. No gears are planned as the car is his wives and they use it as their family cruiser and 3.55's are a solid compromise for them.

I have a good feeling about the opportunities for his April performance. That darn baby ho just makes me all giddy everytime I think about it. It sure does run for a car that has a street bias for its compromises of compression, gears, and other items.

Jody needs no help driving he is experienced with Pontiac's and the track. He is just to modest to say so himself. He is humble and kind but deadly behind the wheel. His first time ever in a PS car this fall shows his prowess.

Rich, I think the easiest way to possibly hit the 13's is to take my 6'4" 240 pound self out of the car and find someone in the 150 pound area. I need to get down to my Junior High School weight :Dou: . All ideas are appreciated, even the "Big Mac" idea. I will be interviewing for smaller drivers after the Pavement Pounders is over for Martin if I do not make it :) . Jeff, thanks for the inspiration as this car with the weight and the gear does pretty well for what it is. The gear swap would be fun to do to see what we could get our of her but I am glad we have some 350 HO's out there such as Tom's and yours that really fly. I will just drop the top and cheer :beer . All in all, this pure stock racing is just pure fun and need to build a dedicated car to run there. I may have to consider finding a correct motor for my '64 GTO to race now that it is retired from the show circuit.

For the people who know me my comments are generally all in fun. I am so fortunate. I have a great family at home and a great "car" family that has been so very good to me. Mark has accelerated my learing curve with motors and driving very quickly as he is so willing to share valualbe information with others.

With that said, I like the Hood scoop rdl !!!

Thanks Jody. I'm one of those larger CID Pontiacs that Jeff was referring to. The way I figure it, if I can't go faster, I'm gonna' at least look tougher while parked.

Careful, now RDL, I hear Scott was picking on my 'slow Big Block' Vette based on the hood over the PA system at Martin.....

That's right. The "Akron" stance is now officially outmoded; the "Brass" look is the new vogue. We be da' bad boyz of da' pits. Strike a pose.

I think it's a hood that promises more performance than the installed engine can deliver :Do No:
