Fresh never frozen chicken mostly likely less hormones than everywhere else. I wondered the same thing til I tried it. You get what you pay for on this one.
I worked at Chick Fil A two and half years 2009 - 2011. It's good food and a good place to work. They pay better than other fast food places (around here).
I'm a Southern guy and grew up drinking sweet tea, at every meal! I buy Chick-Fil-A sweet tea by the gallon!! It's easier than making it and when you add lemon, you can't tell the difference from home-made. Can't eat much from there though, gotta be gluten-free for me (Celiac Disease.)
They just opened one up near me a couple months ago. The two lane drive through has me too weirded out to go through it yet but I've been inside. Wait time is hit or miss. Spicy chicken sandwich is good.
Guess I got to try the biscuit since everybody likes them. Yeah Derrick you ain't missing nothing. They popped up over here more than 5 years ago maybe 8. It's just chicken burgers and fries. And I'm a cheeseburger guy, so you won't see me going to a chicken spot for one. You go in its oddly spacious which I liked. In the middle they have like a pyramid of bbq/ranch sauces which is cool too but they hit you in the wallet really good which ain't that cool lol.
The chain started south of Atlanta with a restaurant called ‘The Dwarf House’. The chicken sandwich is pretty good and they work hard to update the menu around it. The big success is the founder’s philosophy-he paid more, helped put kids through college, and set high standards for service, courtesy, and cleanliness. They also involve themselves in the communities. Truett Cathey (sp?) liked to support the locals; his office was in Hapeville where Ford built the Taurus, so that’s what he drove. He collected cars, too, lots of hot rods and american classics. By all accounts he was a very nice man who lived by Christian values (hence the Sunday close) and built a good business by sticking to his principles. Family still runs it, and they all paid their dues on the way, no free rides or handouts. Patrick
I understand right up until he died he still lived in the same modest house he'd owned since starting out.
When I lived in Atlanta, I was at a guys house buying Buick parts, and he said the family truckster in the driveway was given to the family by Mr. Truett.
Not a big chicken fan, but have had Good service, and a decent sandwich at everyone I have been to in Houston, & Erie Pa. Chicken Soup wasn't the greatest, but not bad. They do a lot for the Car Community here, handing out free cookies, sandwich cards, and supporting the Cruise nights in their locations. Fought Target & Got Us back to Kemah TX on Saturday Nights, where we pull anywhere from 50-400+ cars on good nights. They do a Lot for local communities, especially if there is a problem, like the Storms, when people need Help. 1 in I believe the Atlanta area, took sandwiches out to stranded Motorists when the big snow fall happened some time ago. They have opened and given food, to people stranded during Harvey as well here. JR
I first had it in the Gallery mall in Philly when I was a kid. None other in the East Coast AFAIK. Stellar for fast food. Now easier to find in the Mid-Atlantic area, but I don't live there anymore. Easy to find where I live but I don't eat fast food often and, when I do, it tends to be cheap and fast, which CFA is not.
This is a promotion for a brand new CFA in the county. I guess at least 100 people needed a free dinner a week for 1 year. It went from 18* to 45* on Tuesday. They all lucked out because only a few days earlier it would have been single digits at night, teens during the day. Not something I would do but if I was retired, off, or out of work I may have considered it. http://lancasteronline.com/business...cle_18c163c2-f18e-11e7-8d13-e37bca744b31.html
The Chick Fil A in my community hosts a well attended Cruise In monthly during warm weather. Treats attendees with ice cream, etc. samples and have a recreational activity for kids(provided wooden car models and paint supplies for kids to build). Good community business.
I too am amazed by the lines.. I am lucky and can get my fix as some of the divisions at my work do fundraisers and bring in a truck load of sammiches to sell at great prices.
