X3! :TU: Dan and Bob I never thought it possible that this event could be improved on but this year was the best yet!! Everything went so smoothly, fantastic guest speaker ( please thank Randy for me ),tasty food Friday night, nice track workers, great PA announcer- again!, and all the many volunteers who helped you put this together.
This event is unique and is the sum of all its parts. You have to take the bad with the good and we were there for the bad last year but sure got it all back and more this year!

    Thank you gentlemen, Thomas

Thanks to Bob and Dan for putting on such a great event!!
The weather this year more than made up for last years! Plus there was still plenty of time for socializing with old and new friends.
Thanks to Luke K. and Paul P. and John Miller,(who I raced against in the shootout) and Jeff S. and anyone else that helped me with tuning throughout the weekend. I did set a personal best and know what legal parts I need to get to make it even faster for next year.
Congrats to all that got a new personal best over the weekend! :beer

Chris Jones's yellow Torino is faster for now. Wait till next year! :spank:

Hey Donny, I didn't get a chance to talk to you but at least we got to run once together! And I had the Munson hat on all weekend!

Although I am more towards the bottom of the field as far as E/T, I was happy I could make it into the stands after my 3rd run to watch the top dogs run their last shootout race!

Thanks to Benoit for the very tasty southern cooking! I tried it all and loved eveything!!! Best alligator I have ever had!!

I will post a link to the pics my girlfriend took as soon as I upload them.

Huge thank you to Dan and Bob for going through the pains and heartache to put on this event!!!!:TU:

My wife was seeing me bounce around the house for the past 3 weeks and I am happy to say that it was all worth it. My car ran a best for one of these events 13.39 @ 103.6 (in first round against Mr. Brass). I was 50% on my dance card call outs -- the party barge will have to wait.

As for the shootout, it was a comedy of errors that culiminated in one of the best times I have ever had at the strip!-- another post to be made of it

I told so may guys thank you this weekend, but I will give them the public air time they should get.

BIG ED and Bruno, thank you for being a cornerstone to the parking lot party.

Benoit: You are the other corner stone, makes me remember Grandpa. Great travel buddy as well.

Mr. Payne: Great host and great guy. Your garage is off the hook and your kindness and efforts are greatly appreciated.

Hodges (Sparky): Thank you for your help on the trailer and the place to flop on Saturday night. I am glad to call you a friend!!!!

Mr. Remlinger: Even though Karen was not with you, we still managed to get fed!!! Thank you for taking care of the me in the pits!!!! (PS-- you are so going down on the track next year!!!)

Many more people make this more like a family reunion that you actually want to go to!! Counting the days till 2010!!!!!!:TU:

Not sure i could have a better weekend . I got to the track set the timing at 36 degrees and just drove it over and over..

And then the Hemmings guys taking pics made it a dream weekend..

Then an incredible 13.13 at 106 that was something that was totally unexpected..

And it was all possible thanks to Dan and Bob`s hard work.. Thanks Guys looking forward to next year already !!!

This was my first time out for me and we had a great time. My son James pick up a bunch in the old Hemi with the help of Dave Jr and Sr (thanks guys!)

We met some super nice people with some great story's in the parking lot, Just another good group of guys and girls.

And without friends like Tommy Cannon and the Canaidain crew I would have never been there. Next year we will try to bring a little more smoke!

    Thanks Ed

I can't say enough about how great this year's event was, awesome, and then some, had a great time and got to run GSX #14 to it's best time in the last round, it'll be tweaked on for next year, and depending on my new retirement time maybe even bodywork, to make it look nice, who knows, what lurks in the retirement of Berta!

A SUPER HUGE THANKS to Dan, Bob, my fellow racers, spectators, Pontiac Club members who help with the gate & staging lanes etc, tech officials and the MMM track personel for another great event. Without all of you this event would not be possible.

I'd like to add another round of thanks to Bob and Dan for all their efforts.

Maybe more importantly though, I'd also like to start a slow clap for all the folks that attend to make this race event the spectacle that it is... that's not to say anything less about those who attend to make a spectacle of themselves during the evenings. While by day there are the proud... the few, in the 11 sec. club... let us not forget to pay homage to the ploughed and the fuelled in the after 11pm club.

It's the eclectic cast of characters, old and new, that every September assemble to weave the fabric that is the Pure Stock experience... thanks to all who contribute in their own way to make this the special gathering of people that it has become.

    Cheers!

Many thanks Dan and Bob! I have been coming to this event since 2000 and this is my first time participating, not counting the rainout last year. Thanks to MMM for their hospitality. The weather was great, met some great people, just had a great time. The only thing I have to do now is teach the driver that red means lost! Thanks again.
