vegas winner IS ALWAYS for sale-NEW PICS ADDED due to ongoing projects, I am selling my 72 skylark, i have a 2 page word document i can email with all details of car, will post the highlights and one pic here. 1972 skylark custom, i am the 2nd owner (since 1985), always in california, always garaged since ive owned it. 462 with forged pistons, (9.2 to 1) ported iron heads, performer/850 performer q jet/ SMALL comp cam (better cam will likely lower et .3 or better)TA headers/2.5 inch exhaust with x pipe, T400 switch pitch, 2800/1400 stall speds/custom diveshaft/moser 9 inch ford with detroit locker/2.50 OR 3.89 gear available, forged axles. vintage air heater/ac unit conversion. power stg, disc brakes, cold a/c (see last sentence). 4 inch fiberglass cowl hood, original color 1972 flame orange, painted once in 1987, touched up in 2000 when hood was installed. paint and body very good cond. 10 inch wide weld prostars on rear with bfg 315/60/15 drag radials, front are 7 inch wide prostars with bfg radial ta's. tires brand new 11-07. engine now approx 20k miles, trans/converter have less than 3k on them. driven from so cal to vegas and back for west coast nationals, won both times. sea level with 3.89 gear 12.60, 104 with 3.40 gear 12.85. this is a turn key drive anywhere car with best of everything. EDIT-5-2005-DRIVEN TO OHIO FOR NORWALK AND BPG RACES IN 2004-average fuel mge 13.6 with 2.50s in rear. didnt win a thing but had a great time-was runner up at vegas fall 2004 after winning 2002 and 2003. SOMEONE BUY THIS CAR!! edit 11-19-07---four new bfg tires-drag radials on rear, same as above, new front ta radials, new front rotors/nhra legal long studs, brake pads, car ran 13.16 at 101.9 yesterday in 2000 ft air at fontana, california.
