Just checked with Pure Michigan, Michigan's Official Travel Site, and they say Friday----Mostly cloudy with a little rain Saturday-Chance for a couple showers They wouldn't lie would they? See you all on Friday. Bob
I picked up the trailer this morning. Got the Torino all back together and filled up with gas. Gonna load it up tomorrow and head that way. Will pack extra beer just in case.
I'm showing up no matter what, if it rains I'll just sit in my trailer and eat Frank's food. I hope AMC's don't melt when they get wet! See everybody this weekend. BEWARE THE KENOSHA COPO KILLER!!!!!!!!
On the fence? Just think of how cool the party will be if it rains! Grappa galore! Hope you guys make it! My son will be wheelin'a 34000 mile all orig 340 Duster that can use a "big shooter" super tune.
We are still in!! We are leaving about noon and I am following Chris S. all the way up but may stop at that car museum that was mentioned. Not sure yet. I wanna run mine, even if I only get a pass or two!! :3gears: And I gotta get one run against that nice yellow Torino! :Brow:
Regretfully, Eddy won't make it.I'll be rolling out in the morning:TU: The 340 duster sounds great.I can't wait to see it.I'll have to get some pictures of that bad boy. You may not know but I was planning to bring a 70 duster.I missed the pickel barrell though, just didn't come together.I hope to have it wrapped up soon. Can't wait:3gears:
Yer on Roy! I hope we don't get Munsoned by the rain. Don't be trying to distract me with some hot red head.
Rain smain, Fence smence ! Smain? Smence? Anyhow ,loaded and ready to go, besides Lerum's got us covered. The plan? Jimmy's gunna go up in a Piper Cub ,with his LS 6 mill for prop power. Then he's simply going to fly east over Stanton at key times ,and nail the throttle about a hundred feet before he's over the track. That'll blow the clouds back west.ou: Rich C. PS Hodges: Welcome to the Nashty Boys Racin Team !:TU:
Don't you know, it never rains in Michigan? We just have periods of refreshingly cool, thick humidity. National prognosticators are saying: 50% chance of showers Friday morning. Cloudy Friday afternoon. 30% chance of showers Friday night. Scattered T-storms possible Saturday. Local weather geeks are saying: 50% chance of showers Friday. 70% chance of showers Saturday. No time frames stated. High temps will be mid-70s. Low temps will be low-60s.
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...2917&smap=1&marine=1&mp=1&map.x=164&map.y=107 I'm going anyway..... I missed one once because of bad weather being forecast, and it never rained a drop. That won't happen again.
My weather bug agrees with you, Brian. Coming up anyway. JUst have to put in the new plug, put the RH motor mount back in, take out the t'stat (have a gutted one to serve as a restrictor), fill her up with H2O, load it up, $20 of beer and about $50 of racing fuel (just put $120 in the diesel  )...... Plan to go up yet tonight.
Car in the trailer, overflow tank, fixed by "The Old Guy" and his extensive part goodies and JB Weld and my engineering expertise of finding the goodies in his parts bin! Truck and trailer in the driveway ready to roll, as soon I get my stuff packed and hit the Meijer for a few gallons of diesel fuel and some ice for the most important cooler, will be on my way in the morning, there will be no rain by the time I get there! :Smarty:
Rain or Shine, we wouldn't dream of missing the greatest gathering of car people in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you all in the morning at the track:3gears:
3:12 Friday morning, time to hit the road. See you all in about five hours, in dry Stanton. Bob and crew
Donny, Doppler looks clear for tonight, very "green" tomorrow. There's a group of 4 of us from Oakland Co. thinking about coming over to watch and harrass Richards tomorrow. Not looking to good right now. Keep us updated, if you can. Thanks, Tom
