May 1, '66. Let's see that's 5+1+66=666. Eeewww! Really freaky! This is like one of those card tricks where no matter what you pick it always is the same. I think Rod Serling would have fun with this one.

Born August 8th, 1967. Dad brought me home from the hospital in a 1965 Wildcat Convertible with 2 x 4 bbl carbs. That is why I turned out like this, I am pretty sure.

    Thanks Dad!!

Re: Young one of the bunch

    lol....I love how when you're 17 you're "ONLY" 17. When you're 20's you're "STILL" in your 20's. When you're 30's you're "JUST" 30's. When you're 40's you're "IN" your 40's.

It's all a bunch of crap. Someone once said "Youth is wasted on the young" how true. I would also add "wisdom is wasted on the old." But what does it matter anyway, when you drive an old car, you're "IN" whatever year it is. When I was a kid walking to school with my sister, we would play a game counting cars. One would take Caddilac's, one would take Plymouth or Buick or whatever and we'd see who had more by the time we got home. Now I think about those cars....man....we were counting classics! that was about 1975. At that time people kept their cars for 10 plus years. A 70 GS would be like new. Chargers, GTO's, whatever, there wasn't any rice or plastic anywhere. We were throwing our baseball gloves under the back tires of cars we would kill to have now. Do that to a Toyota and you'll send it into a skid.lol

    btw, I'm "ONLY" 34-1968:Brow:

that leads me to wonder how many people on here have cars older than they are? I've had a 55 chevy short box pickup [built up 283, 4speed, wrap around back window] and 49 international kb1 pickup [ 351 cleveland, c6, 9" rear].:beer

    Born 1961, so I'm in the majority:TU:
I bought my first '66 GS in 1977, when I was still15, from my friends older brother. It needed major engine work, but it was only $50 ,so it was within my budget! I spent two years rebuilding it, learning as I went. It's great to see so many young guys here doing the same thing! Quite a rewarding experience. Go for it guys! :beer
Ahhh, the 'old days'....I attended John's NE gathering at Island Dragway in '81, the 2nd GS Nats in '82(and a dozen more), and the Car Craft Street Machine Nats in '80-84. Damn! we were a part of history!!!
It's amazing to see so many of the people I met during those early GS meets, here on this board...somehow we all seemed to follow the same track in life....here's to you guys! :beer

 Wow! I would never believed there were so many young guys interested in Muscle Cars! Gives me hope for future generations. I was born in 1947, got my license in 1963 when fast cars could be bought from the factory. We were in to street racing, cruising, real drag racing for trophys and class winner stickers for our windshield! We thought we were ace mechanics because we could rebuild a mouse and change a clutch(very often!) but after getting back into muscle cars after a 25 year lay off I find I have forgotten more than I ever thought I knew. This is one old graybeard who is glad to have you young whippersnappers around to answer questions for those of us suffering from oldtimers disease! This is my first Buick and it don't look anything like my 57 Belair or my 60 Vette but it sure does ride better! My son is 28 and I finally got him out of his 5th Mustang and into a Trans Am so there is still hope. Jake
