    Don,
Good eye, thanks for noticing the 2.5 in lift front and back, I put heavy spings in the front, but in the back I put spacer under the rear spring , no air shocks. Never realy cared for low ridier look. Just got back on the road, I posted a picture of a dual setup I took off, could never get to run right,
I just put q-jet set up in, lot less hassle. I also put set TA headers on what difference in preformace.
With the 342 gears and I put in a new MSD ignition for the nailhead that is finally came out. WOW! The I lost 1st gear in my T400 this summer, (To many burn outs! )just took in today have it rework.
Not to metion Carmen Faso big valve heads and his Cam. The boat smoke
the posi wheels pretty dam well. I will have more pictures soon, as soon finish up some more body detail.

    Later Mark

    Thanks--
Whats really funny is that driving the 'vette *feels* like you're driving a big car-- tight, but big.

That is, untill you strap on the '67 cat.... now THAT is a big car.

Hey dawildcat-- how many miles you got?
    Mine's 85K original miles....

Good question! I'm guessing the car's got over 100K, but the engine's pretty fresh, maybe 1500 miles or so. Updates since the picture are custom 2" stainless headers and a Barry Grant 1000 cfm carb. The engine is a .030" over 455 running the 430 heads fitted with Stage 1 valves. Cam is the big TA 308s, pistons are forged with compression around 10.5:1. Rods & crank are stock with aftermarket bolts/studs and lots of quality machine work. Still has the ST400 trans with the switch pitch hi stall raised to around 3000 rpm. Now I just need to ditch the stock 3.07 rear end and get some decent gears for the track. Tons of fun!

DO you have the landau roof (cloth covered from the chevy world)?
Also- did you take off the side emblems, or did the car come like that?

Yep, the car still has the black vinyl top in good shape. The body color is GM's "Black Sapphire" dark blue metallic from the late 80's-early 90's. The original color was a gray/silver which had already been covered with tons of lousy bodywork and a poor blue paint job. Took forever to get the car straight enough for fresh paint again!

The lower rocker molding, lower rear quarter molding and hubcaps are from my old '67 Electra. The interior and dash are from the Electra as well, all in excellent shape. Unfortunately the original Wildcat side molding was in such poor condition I decided to use what I had from the other car.

Any insights as to where I can get a rear quarter from?
MY car is ready for a repaint (black all around, metal roof). But the rear quarter has just about had it (looks ok, but It's all bondo-- someone smashed into it in '85).
Interior on my car is pristine.. all original and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I'll have to post some pics.

    quarters

Sorry jmg2, I looked for quarter panel sheet metal in the midwest in the early 90's with no luck. I figured my best bet would be to travel south in search of a donor car. In the end I had to hand fab most of the lower sections of both quarter panels, including the wheel lip features. A portable sheetmetal shrinker/stretcher (see image) helped form the inside radii around the wheels.

Here's what I was up against (sounds like your dilemma) and the results:

    Before
    After 1
    After 2

Nowadays there are lots of online sources for southern parts in good shape, I think in the other thread someone mentioned Desert Dog Auto Parts.

You might give them a try. Good luck!
