Report: Cincinnati Wildcat progress Clutch and brake pedal mods Finally put this together! I had to modify the plate the booster is bolted to for the hyd. cyl to bolt flush to the firewall. Here is the pedal and slave cyl, linkage. Modified the brake pedal yesterday to line up new pedal with booster rod. I put it in the Wildcat last night, looking good. I have to repo my good camera from x friend for better pix. This small action has been my holdup on this car for a while. Looks like this winter the engine, trans, hyd clutch, brakes are getting done.
Looking good, Ted. Make sure you got that camera back before you going to work on the engine, clutch brakes etc etc.... let us enjoy your progesses as well. :TU: :TU:

Hey Bill I See You Have A Gear Venders Overdrive. Was There Much Modification To The Floor Or Frame? I Really Want To Put One In My 64 Cat But Worry About It Hitting The X Frame. This Is A Big Thread So You Might Have Pics Further Back. John
I don't think so.................This had slipped all the way down and made it to page two:spank: Time for a progress report and updated pics from the Cats Lair:bglasses: Hello?Bill?:3gears:
Yes,Tom......i am still alive and kick'in :Brow: Here's a little prep work before the engine/transmission mate-up. Added the positive cable to the starter so it would be on the motor when i dropped it in. Hooked up the hoist to the motor and lined everything up. Lifted the front of the car off the ground a bit to help the install. Used my American made Craftsman torque wrench to attach the flywheel to the crank.......used a bolt and wire to keep the crank from moving during final torque down. Checked the starter drive gear to flywheel teeth clearance......looks good. Filled the torque converter with as much of a quart of tranny fluid it would hold and mounted it on the trans.Added another 3 quarts to the transmission and then plugged the fill hole. Left the motor hanging over night......note the 2x4 locking the hoist from going all the way down so you don't have any surprises the next morning. My Chevy friends Dale,Monte and Bill came over to help put a REAL motor in a car :Brow: Bill takes control of the hoist........ Then he helps Dale guide everything in while i put a jack under the tailshaft. Motor is almost dropped in and the drivers side header is attached. Monte points out areas to watch as i get ready to feed the passenger side header up from below. Bill and me installing the transmission cross member. more next post..... Peace WildBill
TA-DA !.....finally p Header clearance is TIGHT And some final photos of the day...... Now i can really get some work done :TU: Peace WildBill

Hey Bill? Was just looking at pics again, Is that a Riviera oil pan? And did you have to run that for steering(tie rod) clearance? Just wondering?
