I have an original one on my 70 Stage1. Some pitting and the base is held together by bubble gum, doesn't adjust. I thought it was worth something until now. Mixed blessing, like, remember when the grille for a 71 was so ridiculously expensive? We are better off if good quality replacement parts are available. If the buicks were like the chevy you could build one from scratch from aftermarket parts.

Hopefully Todd (ToddsGS, aka DieCast Muscle Cars) can get one and give us feedback on if they are any good. If he decides to sell them then we can expect them to be quality.

$195 Each (Plus Shipping) In Stock. See my Exterior Page for more info.

I have one here and it looks good.

The only thing I don't care for with these mirrors in general (No fault of TPP - This is a GM Design and I wish it was better)
The mounting Screw for these Mirrors is literally a # 10 Single Screw [IMG] that attaches the Mirror to the factory bracket and sometimes they're a bit "Flimsey".

Other than that complaint...… (again not the fault of TPP) I think the mirror over all is a nice reproduction. As mentioned, I have one here and will be mounting this on a car we Restored earlier this summer.
Incidentally ….. This car does have the Driver Side mirror that TPP reproduces and myself and the owner of the car were happy with it.

100's of Restoration Parts from most of the Big Name vendors all under 1 roof at D C Muscle Cars.

Let me know if I can help guys!!

    Thanks!

I'm curious as to the amount of adjustment with respect to the base to head angle.

Todd- TPP still hasn't reproduced the 1970 DS MANUAL mirror yet, correct?

    Here we go: IMG_0755.JPG IMG_0757.JPG IMG_0753.JPG
Double boxed and well wrapped. Even so there was a small hole because the inner box is too small, but no damage. Note the parts that come with it.

The mirror itself is a very nice piece:

I have a drivers side"take off" so it is basically NOS to compare to. The drivers side has the black paint. The chrome on the repro is better than the OEM one. Installed on a car I do not think you could tell which one was factory, except for that:
    IMG_0767.JPG IMG_0768.JPG IMG_0769.JPG IMG_0770.JPG IMG_0771.JPG IMG_0772.JPG IMG_0773.JPG IMG_0774.JPG IMG_0775.JPG
The last picture shows the mirror side and the recess (or lip) is spot on. The only thing that would have been nicer is to have the body screws included.

And just like that, the prices of NOS mirrors just dropped.
