I think the conclusion has been that they used tire crayons, which typically come in yellow or white (& red). Not sure there was any rhyme/reason to the use of yellow or white but someone can correct me if I'm wrong about any of this.

Dano is right - tire crayons.

I believe I got them on Amazon.

Is that a Rabbit Hole I see?

That car will be painted, and all dialed in by this time next year.

Isn't there a member that does frame-off oil changes?

Hey now. We had one blown out bushing that justified a complete tear down! The list certainly gets longer… I’m still hopeful that we will get some miles on it locally before making the trip to BG.

Started cleaning up the frame. It’s really nice overall, the worst pitting is pictured below. That pitting is a good representation of the rest of the frame underneath the car.

    Looks good!

Do the '72's have the little yellow clip for the transmission lines?

There is a clip, but mine was rust flavored. I actually broke it removing it. I’ve been meaning to look at Todd’s site to see if there is a replacement but do have a few originals laying around

Made a trip to Lowe’s (thanks for the tip Brett) and got the new heater core in and AC box back on. The original was cracked presumably from the accident so @Stage 2 iron hooked me up. Thanks again Frank! It’s going to be a good weather week so solid progress should be made.

Engine is bright under the LED light, but came out nice. Sprayed it with Duplicolor 1653. Buttoned up some cowl/firewall stuff in between coats as well. I decided to paint the cowl screen for simplicity sake. Not a show car
