Are there going to be any major changes to this GSR class for BG next year? Im satrting on putting the car back together and want to make sure there is nothing im missing so i can be legal to run.
The one thing i am concerned about is exhaust, i have mufflers and pipes that exit right before the rear end, will this be legal?

Unless something has changed, you should be fine. As long as the exhaust extends rearward of the front seats and has a total case length of 12" per side. My car was deemed ok with dumps right in front of the rear end and flowmaster super 44 clones.

    Ethan,

Are back seats required? If not, is nice metal work or carpeting covering the rear seat divider and rear floor pan area ok?

Thanks Ethan. I’m having a hard time with the factory seat frames fitting with the roll bar and cross bar. I’m trying to come up with a solution.

I was having the same problem, plus the roll bar comes down through there on mine. I ended up buying the cardboard backing that fits it and went to JoAnn fabrics and bought some of there marine vinyl and will glue it in to that so it looks nice and clean in there.

I know it's extra work but it will keep someone from showing up with roofing tin from Lowes when other guys put the extra effort in,.. so THANK YOU fellas for putting in the work

Its tough to get the seats in. When I had my cage put in the guy was like you want what, why do you still want the seats back there.....lol. it can be done....my x bar passes right inthe gap. My painted in name on my car boots me from this class........but the seats can be fit in there

Just curious, what does your backseat look like?

    Mark, That looks great.

Here is what mine looked like before i gutted it for paint. It will be alot cleaner in there this year. Unfortunately there is no way a back seat is going in mine unless i move the bars and run them through the package tray.
