Here was the first run off. It was cut wrong, a little small, and the alignment is off, but you get the idea. This is actually printed on a thin piece of lexan, then laser cut. The lettering is white to allow more light to show through. The whole label glows with the letters sort of highlighted. They cant laser cut the letters out to be like the original as the print is to small and the edges burn from the laser. The purists may not like it as its not like the original but I like it. There will be another clear layer of lexan over the top to protect it.

Sorry about the lousy pics, I couldnt get a decent picture if my life depended on it. I tried about 30 different shots, the red one is from me blocking the flash with my fingers.

As soon as they correct the errors in this one and run off another I will get some more pictures.

I only have an ac version. But if someone can measure the two up for me to verify that the only difference is the lack of the control on the far right then it is easy for the shop to just run some off without any print or cut on that side.

I'll try to measure mine tomorrow, just no time for it tonight... The A/C version looks pretty darn nice! If I put a non-A/C on mine, I'll have to paint the rest of the lower inst. panel silver.

Hey Capt, I'm going to get my car out at noon today, into the light of a sunny day, and I'll draw it out with measurements marked. Can I fax or email it to you? 'Spose I could draw it up in Paint Shop Pro too, and post it. Whatever works.

Looking very nice ! :TU: but After seeing the a/c control it is almost impossible that the holes could align the same ... For the a/c control the first two opening are "wheels" then a level , a wheel , a level and finally a wheel and the non a/c has a wheel , a level , 2 wheels and a level ...

If ever that could help I could send you my extra unit I have (non a/c) to serve as a guide and just send it back whenever it's ready , with one of your part in the box ? With your special introduction price ! lol

Right, the holes are not in the same locations, but they do appear to be the same size. I've emailed some specs to the Cap'n. :)

Got them, thanks David, I will check them later as I am needing to head out for the moment.
Looks like its just like my ac controls minus the control on the fat right.
The ac controls have a wheek then an a level, then two wheels, another level, and then another wheel.
    Ill comparte the measurements later.
    Thanks!

Actually they are more different than that. The sequence of large and small cutouts is different between the 2 styles. Don't look at the outline around the cutouts, look at the cutout only.

A/C: Lg Lg Sm Lg Sm Lg

Non: Lg Sm Lg Lg Sm

Don't know how difficult it would be to change the positioning of the large vs. small cutouts, and eliminate the last one, hope it can be done.

You're right though, that the spacing from left to right of the black outlines around the cutouts look like they are identical for the first 5 openings. Just a matter of putting the right size hole in each outline.

According to the measurements you sent me they are dead on the same, minus the control on the far right side for the AC. Not looking at the outline, this would be for the holes.

Hey, I think that looks real good. Do you think one could be made for a 69 with A/C? For that matter, does anyone know if these are available for a 69 anywhere? I haven't seen them. :Do No:

Except that the sequence of large and small holes isn't the same, right?

No, the sequence is the same too. Remeber that the picture of the first run I mentioned that they had cut it wrong. Ill post a picture after work tonight of the original. They are the same as the non ac, they just have one extra thumbwheel on the right side where the non ac is blank in that spot.

Okay, here is the ac original label, most of the print is worn off but you can see enough of it.

The shop is saying that they will have another sample by Friday.
If I go by history of it I would expect it to take another week or so.
Either way, as soon as I get it in my hands I will post another picture.
