Sorry for the delay of information. But, after several more attempts and another change of design they just called me and said they had another sample to pick up and check out. So, with luck I will pick it up tomorrow and get some more pictures up. Fingers crossed.
dont you just love a shop that says as of August 4th they will have something the next Friday but you dont hear from them until over a month after that? Drives me nuts Ill say............ As long as it all works out I guess its okay but @#@#$@#$ all ready...........
Here are a couple of shots. I will try to get a shot of it backlit when the sun goes down today, I tried last night but couldnt get my camera to not flash so it didnt turn out. Its real close now, not sure I totally like the white letters but they do show up better at night, but not as nicely as the original.
Im unsure how much they will be just yet, the shop was looking at 30 to 40 each. We still need to work out a way to attach it yet as well. As soon as we get it just right they will be able to tell me the cost. They will be able to be ordered right from the shop as soon as its all dialed in. Nothing in this for me, I just wanted a label for mine and thought after I got one set up others might want one too.
Capt, did you notice the non a/c label does not have a Max fan setting? Only off/low/med/high. Also should not have the Climate Control lettering at the bottom. The a/c version looks great.
To do the non ac version right I will need a donor/volunteer original label, even if its in poor shape, its easier to do it that way with no mistakes. If some one can loan one out for that it would be great. It will be well cared for and returned when a prototype is set.
I just bought a decent faceplate recently, would be happy to send it to you for this purpose. PM your address and I'll send it out tomorrow.

Donalds is the only PM i have, I didnt receive one from you David. Unless Im broken here somewhere I just dont see it.

My control unit w/faceplate leave Canada tomorow ! It's complete never been modified or open and does work . I was told it should take about 10 days to come to you Capt. , let me know when you'll have it :Comp: I'll tell some Buick fellow here in Quebec if they're interested . What models does have this very same unit faceplate ? Skylark , Skylark Custom , GS350 , GS400 , GS Calif. , Special Deluxe , SportWagon ? Any full-size can share it ? Bye

Heater/AC Control Faceplates Hey Capt Dunzel - Just a thought - When you get these sorted out for the Larks maybe you should consider some Riviera ones ! They have a black face, and I'm not certain they would be the same dimensions, but they sure look similar. Might help to reduce manufacturing costs with a larger quantity ! :TU:
Here is a backlit shot. Obviously not as cool as the original, but I want everyone to see what exactly they would be getting if they want one. Im going to have them do another one with black lettering instead. Just gotta see it. The camera still glares at it, it looks brighter in the photo then it does for real.
