Dom, nice car...I wish I had the $$$ because it sounds like a sweet car. Good luck with the sale. As another Ohio boy...I love hearing about the good old days even though I'm from the west side of Clevend. When I first saw the pics ...gold Stage 1 with tan interrior I immediatelty thought of a car these NAPA guys had during the late 70s ...it looks so similar. I was a teenager but remember the car. These NAPA boys had a store in Rocky River and then moved it to Lakewood. Did it come from the west side??? I moved away and lost touch but remember a car like that in the back parking lots and on the streets just tearing it up..................

    Thanks Lon

I know that area well, but no, it's not. This is the story as I remember it. The car is originally from PA. The original owner sold it to his son, it went to FL for awhile with his son, and then back to PA to the original owner, then I bought it. I did find the original newspaper add from 1987 when I bought it, with his phone number on it. I'm not sure if he's still around or not though.

This is NOT an original Stage car, it just has repop emblems on it. It was born a GS 400

I go to Seville on occasion, I race RC Gas Boats there at the Lake sometimes.

ONE last try before it's off to Flee Bay. I was hoping one of the "Good Buick Guys" would grab this one :(

I replaced all 4 springs around 20 years ago or so with new Moog Springs. I was worried at first because the car too high IMO, but it settled down real nice after a few months.

It has Factory 15" Buick wheels on it, with Reproduction Buick Center Caps. The front tires are a 75 series Radial, and I honestly forget what the back ones are. I just took it to a local tire store here, and told him to put the fattest, tallest tires that would fit in there. They put one tire on the car, took it off, when it rubbed, and then put the next size down on it, and those are what is on the rear of it now. I can check the sizes if you really need to know the next time I'm in the storage garage.

    Thanks again :)

Hi Dom, Sorry to see your selling the 69. It's a great car that I would love to own but like you I'd have to thin the heard first. It's just about the same color as the GS my brother bought when he got out of the Navy in 69.
I remember meeting you at one of the Supercar Showdowns in Salem and you telling me a story of how your brother Frank & my bro Flip drove your dad's GP into the creek in front of Niles HS. Pricelss!

Hi Tommy, I remember well, I really do.

To be honest with you, Flip's car was always my favorite, and got the "Buick Blood" flowing into me. I loved that car and would drool over it every time I saw it.

The car they drove partially into the lake was a 1964 Olds 98  It was actually the Creek that run's along Niles High School.

My Dad after that --->--->

    Dom,

Is this car still available? If so, I can't believe it! It's way to nice to not have been snapped up by now. Maybe no one wants to go to Cleveland? I've got an idea. Let me borrow it for the summer and I'll be happy to show it around here. That way people will not have to go to Cleveland.

Thanks Brian, yes, it's still availible. I refuse to give it away. I've had a few tire kickers, and a few "Low Ball" offers too :(

I guess I'll just hang onto it until the market gets a little better. I still like the car, it's FUN
