It's funny - the first (and last) time I felt judged for my making my own choices on a car I own was when I pulled my tubbed 429 '69 Mach-1 onto a Mustang Club of America Grand National show field in 1990. Since that day in Florida 34 years ago I've come to realize a large majority of the naysayers are either purists, jealous, or want to make a low-ball offer on a car which isn't for sale - in part because they aren't able to build their own. In the case of this '69 Stage-1, turns out the guy selling it for a recently passed away relative actually new better and got the money he wanted. This isn't about the buyer.
