Called TA today. Think I heard they have 170+ sets of heads on back order. They have a new machinist spinning up soon, and they hope to get through machining ‘the next batch’ soon. The Stage I SEs Jim has on order for my 482 build (ordered June 2021)?? He said soonest would be October, but wasn’t promising anything.
Exactly. I see nothing attractive about that. Exactly opposite if ya ask me. Im more of a tight, little butt guy with just the right curves. Now my Riv on the other hand has a big ole bootie and I wouldnt have it any other way

From my experience of being on the list which I have been a few times and am now for two sets of heads,...you usually get a call sooner than expected ,...time flies
I am officially on the list. Heads and hydraulic cam core. BTW, that 170 number for backorder is ALL heads, not just the castings for BBB.
Wow, I wasn't expecting such a huge delay getting parts. Im just getting around to pricing out my 455 build... Might have to get the stock iron heads worked on.
That’s what I did. I had a deposit on 350 aluminum heads, almost 2 years, I threw in the towel and continued on with my irons.
