Ah Yes!, the very rare and elusive 70'/71' muffler bearing, Great find Carl, haven't seen one of those in years, how much do you want for that little piece of history?

Bruce, actually looks like a throw out bearing that got stuck in something or some part of the clutch?:Do No:

    You're killing me!!!

But of course, it's a dog clutch off of a 1939 John Deere Grain Harvester, anybody can see that....

Or it's a really dirty manual trans input shaft cover. Heck, I don't know!!!:Dou:

Would this be for a GS in the 65 to 74 range, or something in the late 80's and 90's?

This would be from a GS in an early vintage range-I'll give you guys a clue-it's from 1968-1972.

    can't.....sleep.....strange...part....must....be...identified....

OK, after looking at EVERY page in my '72 chassis manual, I'm going to proclaim the above part to be a:

    Body-to-Frame mount!

And I'm going to go further and bet that if it's for a '72, it is violet colored, and goes in location #1 or #2, basically under the firewall/dash area.

Can I go to sleep now...Please?
