The mold must be worn out...I can barely read the load capacity and psi on the tire.....not crisp or clear. At this point I may just buy China tires. May actually be better than these Mexicans.....last 2 Chinese tires I bought took NO weight to balance!

Both of these Coopers took 4oz of weight to balance. Should I rotate 180 and rebalance or just leave alone?

If you rotate them, it may or may not make it better. Balanced is balanced. When I saw a tire that I felt took too much weight, I usually would rotate it, but it seems that most new tires take an excessive amount of weight compared to older tires. Did they line up the painted dot with the valve stem? I don't recall if that is the heavy or light part of the tire but years ago when I worked at a General Tire store, we were told to line them up.

    These tires had no dots.
I avoided buying from Priority Tire due to the mess with the Firestones. Ended up buying from Tire Mart which is in same town (Allentown, PA).....now I'm thinking all the same company! I am thinking of calling Cooper and ask about the dots....or lack thereof...

Is this tire really from 1985??? Or 2005? 85t.jpg

Or 1995? I believe it to be original tire for my 1996 Roadmaster. I was heading to track to race yesterday and had to turn around due to seized and smoking caliper so I happened to look at the tire when I took it off....
