That is so fake. If you look at the lines on the road and the tire marks just before the end of the video you will see he can't be doing more than maybe 30 MPH while his speedo still says he's doing 110 mph. That guy has a truely screwed up speedo. Not to mention that I don't know of any street bike that can go 220 mph. there is not enough weight to hold it to the ground. So before any one comes back and says my brother went 200 mph, If you didn't do it your self and have video to prove it don't wast our time. Also for any young members out there that think they want to do some thing like this, I have seen about 100 videos that show people all jacked up from when things didn't go as planned. That kind of driving on a public highway is dangerous and irresponsible to say the least. Not to mention that if caught you will loose your license and your motorcycle will be impounded.

Didn't look quite right, but a hyabubba with a turbo WILL go 200+mph. Stock they go 190+.

I dont know about the video as being fake or not but I own a 2001 model Hayabusa and if you think they will not do 200mph you need to do more research, a 99 stock hayabusa was clocked at 198mph when the motorcycle companies were doing the top speed tests, nevertheless after that year is when they started speed limiting them, but a couple of performance mods and it will go over 200mph, the aerodynamics of the hayabusa is what makes it so fast at top speed, and remeber 150-155 stock horsepower at the rear wheel. Put a turbo on it depending on which system you get anywhere from 250 to 400 horsepower and more.

Based on this web site the Hayabusa has never gone 200 mph in stock form under any of the ten different magazine testing. Ricardo if you have ever gone evan close to 190 mph on your bike you are the man.

Yeah in stock form I think the fastest it was clocked at was 198, depending on which radar gun and what not, Its fast, way fast, I had mine up to 185 indicated on my speedo but take into account that the speedo for the 2001 model busa ends at 185 and they are speed limited to 186mph,and there is a 5-7% speedo error from the factory, a simple mod on my bike to remove the limiter, all I know, I was at the max indicated but I had to be going faster.

  8. 220+ or not you do have to realize he shifted THREE times while on one wheel. That alone will tell you he's moving, but it will also tell you he's pretty stinkin' good at doing what he does.

Can anyone see if the Speedo is MPH or KPH? I think a KPH speedo, combined with a sprocket change would explain the discreapancies.

I agree with the previous post. 3 Gear changes while in the wheelie and that tach hovering around 11,000 :jd:

I can't imagine what would happen if he hit a small stone at that speed.

  10. It's very hard to tell. It looks MPH but I'm willing to bet it's KPH based on how fast it accelerated from 150 and on. Then again I've seen many videos of these things doing 175-200 MPH and they still accelerated somewhat like that. This is the first time I've seen a dial display and not digital though.

The speedo has a different face plate, al the stock versions are black back ground. If his hayabusa is 1999 model then the face plate is almost dead on with the original speedo 220mph, if its 2000-up he probably just put the 220mph face plate on over the stock speedo which only goes to 185mph.

There is no disputing that those bikes are wicked fast. I road on the back of my buddys' BUSA and needless to say I was scared. Then when we arrived back to my house from the little trip he tells me that was only half throttle!!!

As far as the video is is for sure been tampered with.
When you are going that fast(150+) you can not see spaces between the center dividers. It turns into one solid white line.

    I have went 150MPH in a BMW
I have went 140+ in a Taurus SHO
I have also went 150+ in a late model Z28 and it does not look like that.

Those bikes excelerate but not that quick.
Plus they are built for speed and are a heavier bike. They do not pull wheelies like a smaller GSXR 600-750.

Something is screwy with the video!!!

I've watched that video several times. To me also, something is amiss. I've gone just over 160 mph in a Maserati that I used to own several times, and those white lines go by like tracer rounds at those speeds. I timed his run also and he hit 140 mph in 10 seconds from a rolling start. And then hit 200 in less than 20 seconds. If that bike is for real, HOLY COW!!! Maybe he has a turbo or supercharger on it. I don't know and I doubt we'll ever know for sure.

I have to agree with Scott.

My former life was spent on a Kawasaki ZX1000 Ninja, 165 on the speedo was nothing to this bike.

I have also ridden a Hyabusa, 2003 I believe, and it is so much more "stinkin" fast than my Kaw, that I could not believe it.

0-over 100 in three gears, barely on one wheel. I have been riding bikes now for over 30 years, and the bikes now would have scared me when I was younger.

I have seen these bikes on one wheel for great distances, perhaps over 1/4 mile on the freeways in Denver, so it comes as no surprise to me that a bike would go that fast on one wheel. I personally had my bike to over 90 on one wheel 15 years ago in California.(thicker air)

That being said, it looks as though the speed is a little inflated in the video. I have been to 150 on a bike and based on the traffic going the other way, the lane markers, and the vegitation along the road, this is not 220mph.

I have also seen a video from a race bike taken the same way on the Isle of Mann, during practice, with a documented top speed of 180 that looks a whole lot faster than this.

    Just my .02

I was fortunate enough to borrow a ride on one of these. I am 42 years old and I thought a killer ride was a Z1R. I got on the "H" bike and holy **it! I shifted into 3rd gear and pushed the revs hard to 10+ and the front started to lift. It was 100+ mph when I gathered my sense.(all in just a few seconds) Gotta say that these bikes are too easy to ride hard and too hard to ride easy. Which is a real bad thing for an inexperienced rider.

Well, I looked real close at the video and it appears, at least to me, that the speedo reads km/h

But thats still fast on 2 wheels. My son in law has one of those Ninja's and he wheighs about 280 and he can lift that thing in 3rd gear going really fast.
I had a Honda 750 back in my youth and they are nothing compared to the bikes of today. The new ones scare the heck out of me.

On the kawasaki triples board I belong to we tried to get a rough estimate of his top end speed (when the tach needle begins to hover at around 11). Someone else did it and they calculated his speed based on the space between the white lines (standard spacing) how many line he pased at top end, and how long he was at top end. They figured it was between 203 and 205 mph at top end. a 15mph speedo error at top end on a sport bike is not uncommon and a gear change could make it even more likely innacurate. anyway here is the link where they talk about it:

Just blip the throttle and a stock busa will come up in first gear, once its up in the air the only thing that keeps it up is the power from the engine and changing gears.

    CIT Poweraddict, help me

He went 11000 rpm in 6th gear, it is not a fake
But you normally go 10-20% slower than the speedo, so I would say he went about 200mph

BTW the speedo is maxed out at 220, thats why it didnt increase the last 1000rpm
