A bike is the way to do it if you want great speed for little $$$. I don't know of a car that will run a 9 out of the factory however...

My buddy here in town, before he sold it, had a turbo busa that put down 500 hp at the real wheels on the dyno last summer in Orlando. During that run it grenaded the bottom end.

    Jason,

If you look further down on that forum, there is a second video shot from a WRX that the Vette and bike blow by. Trust me......they are rippin'

    Check it out!

Apparently the speedos on Hayabusas are so inaccurate that you can buy an aftermarket thing called a YellowBox. It converts the speed sensor signals from front sprocket into a signal for the electric speedo. The idea is that you use a GPS or mile markers to accuractly calibrate the speedo. You can, however, dial in values that makes the speedo read a lot faster than actual. I'll bet that is what is going on here. If you search some of the other sportbike videos, there are some at "only" 180 mph and the hashed highway lines are almost blurred into one line.

yes, hayabusa's can do 200+ mph

no way in @#$% is the bike in that first video going over 70mph.

i cruise at 90 on the interstate and i've been over 125 (not particularly impressive numbers) and he's not even close.

I agree that it is crazy to go that fast sitting on top of something. Wilhelm Maybach built the first motorcycle and the first automobile in the late 1800s. The first motorcycle had side strut things to keep it from tipping over too much when you ride it. If he saw these new bikes he would freak
