Anyone w/ Showtime, "The Man With Two Heads" is on right now. There is a 68/69 Riv in that movie driven by Casey Casem.
ok fellow enthusiasts.HERE IS ONE FOR YOU TO IDENTIFY. 1 NAME THE PROGRAM THIS WAS ON. 2 NAME THE MAIN CHARACTERS. 3 WHAT YEAR DO YOU REMEMBER?
It was Claude Akins (before Lobo) mid-late '70's can't remember his character or name of the show. What do I win?? Ronnie
Yes, you got one of the characters right but lets see how many of you know the other lead character . Also, who sang the theme song ? You are also in the right decade .......but be more specific please. Pat
Movin' On Other guys name was "Will" I think. Song: Movin' On- Merle Haggard "It takes a special breed, to be a truck drivin' man and a steady hand to pull that load behind" Great tune, I have it around here amongst my swerving ears (souvenirs.) Does anyone have a picture of that thing pulling a trailer or were they perpetually bob-tailing?!? Can't haul much freight on a greasy ol' 5th-wheel plate!
Give them 2 a big ole Happy Halloween! Claude akins was Sonny Pruitt Frank Converse was Will Chandler was circa73-74 Rosey Grier was also in the show Sonny had a dog in the pilot named Dog Good job! Pat:TU:
Optical illusion?? Glad to see they finally found a trailer to shlep around (inquiring minds want to know if BJ and his monkey are in there) but it almost looks like tractor # 2 has 2 stacks and #1 has one. Is it my eyeballs?? Maybe my monitor has 5th wheel dreck on it??
Good eye! On the site that I found the pics on, they explain the 1st truck was the one in the pilot of the show.It was a 1973 Kenworth W925 with single stack, painted rear wheels, dark green with a full length stripe. In the series, which I found out ran from 9/74 to 9/76(44 shows) the truck is a 1974 Kenworth W925 that had twin stacks, twin air cleaners and a different side stripe.I remember watching that show faithfully while it was on. Pat
Although I'm really starting to like that earlier post with "Herbie" the love bug :Brow: , Here's one I haven't seen posted yet....
Actually they're telling you a story if they said that first pic is a real truck. Look closely, it looks alot like the plastic model put out by AMT in the seventies. The people in the pic are cut outs. AMT used their standard Kenworth model with the small sleeper on it and just changed the decals in the kit. I have one around here somewhere. What site did you find the pics on?
Yeah, it was on thursday nights on NBC. I even remember the pilot. Watched it a few years ago on some cable network, the ol' TNN I think. To clear up a story. The 57 chevy used in the Hollywood Knights is PHRs project X, that accually blew its motor during shooting. Tim
Jim,Yeah that was just one of the clearer shots of the truck.I found it on http://timstvshowcase.com/movinonhtml There are several other shots of the truck and he detailed the differences there. He even shows pic of the model kits and a TV Guide cover with Claude and Frank on it.Iused to watch it on thursday too.Haven't seen it on in awhile though.
