If you got beat by a car with a wing on it would you be embarassed?

As I mentioned earlier, I've got an 06 STi, and a higher end bike would absolutely crush my face, no question about it. I run 0-60 in 4.8 bone stock, but I'm by no means bone stock. I haven't ever taken my STi to a strip because, well, if you get that car to drag race then frankly you're an idiot. You pay all that money for the 4wd, great suspension, amazing handling, and drive in a straight line? No sir, not for me. But I digress...

The real point is that there is no shame in getting beaten by an EVO or STi, with a stock wing. Those cars are built to be faster than our 38 year old antiques. $3000 puts you in mid 12s with great reliability. Add on slicks and, well, you do the math.

 

Wow, this particular thread just gave me a serious kick in the a$$, dont get me wrong I love the import scene, I really do, I own a 2004 Wrx Sport Wagon besides my Skylark and that little bastard is fast. Im not gonna get into the details of what I've done to it because it doesnt bang eight. I dont want anyone to think I'm insulting them but some of you guy just seem like your gonna lay down and die, I've decided that this isnt going to happen, I've got a 69 skylark that is gonna get turned into a beast. Up to this point I didnt really have a driving force toreally work on the engine because i was so busy restoring it but its past that phase now. So now i feel like its time to start taking back some respect for our big buicks. Dont worry guys its time for these things to start getting some respect again because i know what its like to have the little ricers talk sh## about the Lark. Just really wanted to say that. I feel much more zealous about the whole prospect now. Thanks Guys!!!!!! Get Some!!!!!!

 

Not if the car was a Bugatti Veyron. The "wing" on that car has its own hydraulic fluid radiator, along with 9 other radiators.

 

Not to mention 16 cylinders and 4 turbos...must be nice.

I lost to a low 9 Sec Supra At the race track and it had no wing does that count ??

 

dont you mean 240sx sentras are fwd unless its a really old one

 

i would be embarassed by anything besides a wrx evo anything nissan or a supra
