I have numerous friends that want my nos spare. If TA doesn't step up on this soon my plan is to send it to vfn and have them copy it.

We have two scoops that we are currently using to get the correct fitment of the scoops coming out of the mold.

You're to young to know...but that brings back memories of Kenne-Bell!

I'm still in for one even though I have an nos one sitting here.

As far as the fitment of the "flange" to the hood, it looks as good as the steal Buick made scoop. It would be nice to see it a little thicker though, or with a lip around the opening like Buicks original.
Get a hold of me if you want dimensions on that.

I don't want this thread to die out because I would love to mount one on my 69 Skylark 455 along with a hoodtach, if TA reproduces them, ill purchase it from then I.stead of the VFN one, would make my car look even more menacing

The Stage 2 scoop mold is in the process of being modified for a better fit and to allow for an easier and higher quality install to a hood. The back lip just wasn't coming out right to match an actual hood, so we're having a friend in the area take a hood over for the fiberglass guy to use as a reference for the corrections. I don't want to sell you guys a low quality part that doesn't fit right and looks poorly made.

  18. otter

    otter It'll be done someday.

I want one for my 68 but am not sure how that area of the hood matches the 70-71 hoods. I have seen many 68 and 69's in the forum running this style but I wonder if there is much modifying needed to make it look decent. I have an old Cool-Runner intake and could use the clearance.

I have one we could lay on your hood and see how it would mate up if you care to travel 10 - 15 miles south?:TU:

And TA- I need one now for this race season...any updates? I may have to use my nos one.

I have one, it doesn't fit perfectly to a stock Skylark hood in the back but it could be modified to fit.
