I've been trying to work with the fiberglass guy to get him to make the back of the scoop correctly, and a guy I knew was going to take a Skylark hood over to the fiberglass shop and work with them to get the scoops made to fit the hood correctly, but just before he was about to do that he had a lot of family stuff fall on his lap, and he's been dealing with that for the last few months. I'll give him a call this afternoon and see how he's doing and if he can run the hood over.

Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, this is a project that I try to work on in my spare time (which I dont have much of). If you really want a scoop and don't mind the gap at the back of it, let me know and I'll have one made for you. I'm sorry for how long it's taking for people that really want one.

If memory serves, I think that one on ebay went over $250 before I stopped looking, I assume someone on this forum bought it. I kick myself now for not buying a few dozen back in the day.

Vfn makes nice pieces, this looks like the solution to the problem

I took my vfn and made it look pretty much identical to the factory scoop by using a piece of fuel line glued in the opening to replicate the rolled edge of the factory one

just ignore the black duct tape it was part of the last min effort to get the hood on and ready for the nationals it will sealed up with seam sealer and dressed up as is the fit to the hood it will be taken off and "fitted" for a much cleaner look, the air tray is a 18 in pizza pan I got for free the mesh is stainless from a fry pan cover with an air bell from quick fuel to make it all work
