    I just watched it and liked it.

    The initial trailer showed some changes to Maverick's jacket (Japanese and Taiwanese flags both gone, to appease the Chinese market), but were there in the actual movie. I bet there is an interesting story.

    It was an awesome movie! I actually liked it a little better than the original. Maybe because I'm older and understand more now...

    Jim I saw it. I liked it. It’s not perfect or 100% real to life accurate. But still, I liked it.

    One guy here at work pointed out the similarity of the "mission" to the Star Wars deathstar attack. Hard to argue that one.

    Saw it with my wife and a good friend last night and was totally entertained. Yes, the plot was predictable but who cares. The acting, flying scenes, and cinematography was really good.

    The only thing they could have done better was explaining Tom’s history with Penny Benjamin (Jennifer Connelly). Had to Google it when we got home to recall that “Penny “ was mentioned several times in the original movie as an Admiral's daughter that Maverick “went ballistic with”.

    Loved the movie!

    From Top Gun 1. Listen as the commander chews them out, "With a history of high speed passes over 5 air control towers AND ONE ADMIRALS'S DAUGHTER". Then Goose says, "Penny Benjamin" under his breath.:D

    Went with wife and daughter because they made me. Daughter thought it was beyond awesome. I liked it a far sight more than the first -- in this one Tom Cruise played a decent enough guy, in the first, well...

    My son took me to it last night, a little cheesy early on and copied the first one but the final Mission was pretty awesome to watch. .
    Ridiculous, but hey... it's a movie.

    I saw it Friday night. I thought it was really well done. A lot of throwback to the original and a lot of loops closed. Very entertaining. This is coming from someone whose last movie was probably The Breakfast Club. LOL
