Yup, Hyatt has a few rooms, but not at the MCACN group price. It's $335 per night....... might still book it...... we'll see.
It's not too late Steve.....I'd love to see your car in person! This screen shot from MCACN's site...
Com'on man, you can make it this year. Promise you won't regret it. Not sure your logistics, but I do it in one day - No overnight.
The show is fun, but the dinner is the highlight of the weekend for Buick guys! Thanks for setting this up every year Ajesh!
Jim Rodgers is bringing Richard Lassiter’s 1970 Stage1 (Ol Blue) for the 1984 shootout display with Roy Baddie’s Hemi Roadrunner. Richard will be there
I'll be there Thursday- Monday, Hilton. Paul Haddock will have his Silver 72 and his Green 67. Thanks Ajesh for all you do!!!
Glad to hear Richard Lasseter's car will be there. No one has really seen it, since we did the frame off restoration and engine build on OL BLUE back in 1996. Can't believe it has been over 25 years ago already since the resto.
Must have been a last minute addition. But then again, I won't count them until they're on the show field.
l'll be there with my son Vincent and my Buick.. I look forward to meeting you folks... We are staying at the Hyatt .. My son is a Mopar guy, I'm sure he will be impressed . Regards. Frank
We can’t make it this year but we got in at the Hilton last year and that was connected to the skyway. Gibsons and Morton’s steakhouses are next door too. It’s a great show every year.
WE brought the car to OHIO the year the Nationals was held there, to the restoration seminar. When we completed the resto. And gave an overview of the process of restoring the car, building the engine for it, and the results of the dyno session with the car present at the restoration seminar. It went back to Valdosta from there. Richard's friend Merlyn brought it to BG a few years back, but the car was only there for one day. It's going to be cool having it at MCACN on display next to the HEMI GTX Richard Raced to "victory" in Round One of the HEMI VS STAGE 1 series of shootouts. Maybe Roy Badie might even show up ?? Even though he no longer owns the GTX. Few cars have represented and promoted BUICK performance as well as OL BLUE and Richard himself. I am happy to say that Richard is one of our best friends. And that he will be at MCACN with OL BLUE being honored and recognized by the event. The article in HEMMINGS 09/23/18. Gives the history and perspective on Richard and his Stage 1 Ol' Blue | Hemmings
