Someone here,I'm sorry that I can't remember your username, posted a video with sound a while back. The car was an A bodied Buick with MT headers,it sounded wicked to the point that I have a set of the GSCA repros hanging from the wall of my shop for my '79.Somehow those headers will be on that car and a healthy cam will make them talk, best sounding exhaust note that I ever heard.I've heard plenty of small and big block Chevies that were mean and would intimidate most but that Buick lope coming out of those MTs is just over the top.Just my opinion.:bglasses:
Can you wait till christmas:Brow: TA are shipping my new 380cfm stg2TE as we speak. Once we have finished a big job I have on, I will order the alloy rods, roller rockers, etc. I have the pistons with 12.8:1. Should sound ok:TU: :TU:
This has got to be my favorite. Anyone know the owner, or what this car runs? Would love to know his combo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnvrCzpC0mQ
That's mine. Been driving it around this summer and finishing up some details. It has not made it to the track yet thanks to the stock market. Greg
Here is mine on a closed race track by my house..... 30 mph roll on? Never really hooks up.. Can't nail it any slower without going the other direction. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WrVnCLQbTzI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WrVnCLQbTzI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I always thought this sounded cool, but I'm not 100% that its still Buick motivated....still sounds wicked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZSZOPGNLR0&feature=related
Here is mine on an idle <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JSNEay6V6Do&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JSNEay6V6Do&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Actually the police showed up the first time we started it up! It's a long link but if you follow it there is a link to AMP with my motor build up. TRI Shield built a custom converter & trans for it. I also sent TRI Shield my heads & manifold for their cast aluminum polishing and those parts still look brand new on the engine. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=93411&page=2 Later Greg
Read the whole thread. Awesome. You ever get out to the track yet? Also, what size tires you have in the rear? Any clearance issues? I'd be curious what your trap rpm is with that 4.11 gear.
Hi Kurt, Never made it to the track yet due to the stock market. A lot of info on clearance issues here and my tire size. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=57677 I made need to drop to 3:73's if trap rpm is to high. Also my inner fender wells are not cut at all. Later Greg

Chevy powered and he just turned it on its lid here a week or so ago. Here is a copy and past of details of the accident and some history. Guys and Gals. Over the weekend Chris's car had an accident at Sacramento Raceway. I was not there but here is an account taken from Norcal1320.com WCHRA this weekend at Sac.... - Page 7 - Norcal1320.com He came out of the hole hard, got out a few hundred feet, went up in smoke, stayed in it, headed for the right lane, turned back left to try to keep it out of the wall, car pitched sideways again, and flopped on its roof........cant believe it flipped over from that but it did......car is beat up but chris looked ok....From what I saw, t-tops and no funny car cage (hoop over your head) makes for a rough ride.... "Psycho Dave from norcal1320.com" Here is Chris Chow's reply to the thread. I'm OK guys. It was definitely a ride that I hope never experience again...but that's why we have cages in our cars. It's pretty much exactly as Psycodave explained. Glass everywhere. Initially, I could not get the seatbelt camlocks to release because my weight was on them. All the while, I was watching oil draining out of my dry sump, my helmet scraping on the ground and waiting forever for the car to stop. The motor and drive train are fine, we drove into the garage after we took it off the trailer."chowdog from norcal1320.com" First of all I am glad that my friend is ok and that is always the most important thing. Secondly I am heart broken for Chris the original owner of this WE4. I am sure he will chime in when he gets a chance but I will give you a brief snap shot of this cars's 20 plus year racing history. -The car runs 13.6 basically factory stock -He drove the car from California to Bowling Green one year -With Chris tunning the DFI 10 plus years ago it was driven close to around 75 mile round trip on slicks for street exercises. -I will never forget seeing him take out a big block chevy on N20 when he still had the production v6 in it -Duttweiler built him a stage 2 v6 that with baby turbos make more than 1000HP -The car runs 9.1 @ 149 with a lot left -We find Bob Rieger's motor for sale and Chris picks it up -Chris gets the v8 running and wins a couple PSCA Heavy Street events -2005 Las Vegas Street Car Super Nationals, Chris becomes the first stock suspension Regal in the 7s with a 7.9 @ 175
I know there are no stupid questions right? Wrong, check out the comments on my video. Someone asked me if a stock Regal could accelerate like mine. I think you will like my response. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seNQzfEPg6w
OK I'll jump in here. The link below is an in camara view with all the great sounds of a 455 Buick screaming at 5,400 on the trans brake and shifting at 7,000 rpms at 1st and 2nd gear going thru the eyes at 7,100 rpms running low 9.30's at 145 mph. Hope you enjoy it. Oh and turn up the sound! http://videos.streetfire.net/video/A-930-at-145-mph-14-mile_27020.htm
