Ok , It's now the first day of 2006 ! Happy New Year all you Buick guys and gals. I say we who need to...lets see if we can lose about 40 to 50 pounds by June 1st. Lets do it ! You know you want to! Weigh in tommorow and we can report back every two weeks what we have lost. Come on ! We talk Buicks and encourage each other, so why not encourage each other to lose some of this flab! One day at a time! And Mike Nielsen you stay out of it Mr. Skinny. Ok...who is up for it? GSX Eric :3gears:
The Chart? I don't know who is going to keep the chart or how to do it. But we can at least report back daily on how we are doing. I think that the keys to losing this weight is exercise (like walking) and cutting out sugar and when eating breakfast lunch and dinner not to have second portions and not to have a monster plate full of food. It won't be easy but if we encourage each other I think we can make this happen. GO, GO, GO !!!! Ok...we now have 4 Buick fat boys with some man marbles willing to go for it. Come on, there has got to be more Buickers that are gravity challenged... Lets make first weigh-in tommorow Jan.2nd and post our starting weight, height and (age if you want) , on here. Next weigh in can be in two weeks on Jan 16th. GO, GO , GO, Jeff, Larry, and Big C !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GSX Eric :3gears:

Half my closet fits a 190 lb me....was at that weight about five years ago and felt great. I could carry 220 if it was muscle (it ain't :spank: ) Too much time in the Tahoe, in airplane seats, or at a computer has taken its toll, and it's time to spend some time on me. :TU:
Hmmm, I played the weight loss challenge last year. I went several years 'round 200. By the summer of 2004 I weighed 210. That was just to much. I currently weigh about 190 on my home scale. The doctor scale says 186ish. I fluctuated last summer between 190-195. Why? Eating habits. Do youns want advice. Never Never eat alot before an in-active period. The best example is before bed. The worst thing you can do is load up right before bed. Thats how I went back up five pounds during the summer. I was working almost steady 11 hour days. Lotsa excersize right? well.....I'd come home, eat, and fall asleep. Bad Bad Bad. Sooooo, if you are burdened with a sweet tooth like me, heres some advice. Do not go back for seconds at diner time. And when you get that urge to have a sweet tooth snack before bed, have a lowfat glass of chocolate milk, or have a small glass of some sipping spirits like Creme De Minth or your favorite Schnap. Weigh yourself once a week in the morning and watch the weight go away. Don't skip breakfast either. Good luck everybody. Youns can do it and you will all feel great!!! :TU:
When I was a banker 6 years ago, I sat at the computer all day. The only thing that saved my belly was that I had to park 10 blocks away. I hired out on the railroad in 1999. In a matter of two years I went from 220 to 235. My pants still fit fine, but none of my banker shirts fit anymore. Cranking on handbrakes and holding myself on the sides of railcars gave my shoulders a workout. Walking mile long airtests in foot deep snow also keeps me in decent shape.
