    When I do it I go to manage attachements. That brings up a screen with multiple lines. Each line says browse. When you click on that it allows you to go to your picture files and pull in the picture. I ha a problem with this as I was loading my pictures in raw format which were too big to upload to the board. They need to be resized. I resize them to jpeg format.

    You mean posting a photo from another server, or by using the attachment function of the board ?

    Remote link:

    Let's see what wrong here....
    This is what you see when you want to use the attachement function of the board:

    [IMG]

    My photo of the 1971-1972-1973 Boattails is a JPG file.
    Dimension = 800 x 600 pixels
    Size = 136 kB

    So it should load without a problem....[IMG]

    Yes, we are aware of the image upload problem, and will be working to repair it tonight.

    However, you CAN post links to photos you have hosted on sites like Photobucket.com, and they'll appear in your post, without loading them to the V8 server.

    Was this ever resolved? I have posted pictures since the board was updated, but today I can't seem to post pictures. It shows that I have uploaded the pictures, but they don't appear in the post.

    Trying to post photos today and cannot get it to work. Old system much simpler.
    I do not have photo bucket account, is that going to be necessary in order to post photos?

    It is almost the same as the old system. Having a photo bucket acount is not required. This picture came off my hard drive.

    Do you see, or can you get to, the the manage attachments icon on your screen?

    Jim,
    I am also having trouble. The new system is not an improvement IMO in this regard. I'm going to try and post the picture of the coil mounting in that thread again.

    Can't upload images from my computer either like we used to.
    Keep getting message about exceeding limit. It does a bunch of
    pics from previous posts that you should be able to drag down.
    But that also says exceeding limit, but no way to delete all those
    already saved or whatever you call them. Frustrating.

    Larry-Can you see any past pics on your screen after you click on manage attachments?

    Yes I can Jim. But when I upload the pictures, they appear as squares at the bottom, and the squares are blank. Not sure what is happening.

    Larry,

    Well, as you can see from the post above, the system is allowing the upload and display of pictures, at least for some users..

    If I understand what you have going on there, you hit "manage attachements".. and your personal attachement page comes up.. it should have all your previously attached pictures.. then to put a new one up, you hit "add files", and then select it from your hard drive. You hit Upload files, and when that screen comes up, the area below your old pics, shows up with not the picture, but a blank square.. is that correct?

    What browser are you using, and have you done a good clean on your system lately?..

    Jim,
    I just successfully uploaded an attachment in the transmission forum. It worked fine. Could it be that I am trying to attach a file that I have already uploaded at a previous time, and it is already in my "added pictures" , and I need to select it from there?
