I joined this forum last November and have found answers to almost everything I've ever posted. We Buick owners are proud people and generally friendly and helpful. This site is a wealth of information!! Stick with it.

You guys are right. I know better now. I am expecting too much for the money I'm willing to spend. I have found a couple of '67 GS 400 cars with the options I wanted and in the condition I was looking for, but the sellers did want considerably more than I could afford. I have also found a few in the price range I am willing to pay, but they've been either already sold or they need more work and money than I'm willing to invest at this time. Regardless, I'm going to have to be a bit more flexible and more patient. Thanks to all for your input and advice.

    Roy,

I have a friend who has a 67 GS for sale. It is a burgundy red W/black vinyl top. It is a real 4-speed GS car. It is not a highly optioned car, but you could certainly change that if you wished. Next problem is, it is in the Chicago area. This can also be over come. Contact him, his name is Steve, and his name is Staged 1 on this board. Go to the members section tab, and do a "search members". If you have not already, join a local Buick, or better yet a local GS club. You could always joing the GSCA, and put ads in all their affiliate chapter websites and news letters. Go to the National buick events. Just some thoughts off the top. Get in touch with Steve. If you want to talk to me, call me during the day, at 847-922-4130. That is my cell. Good Luck!

    Regards, John.:beers2:

Thanks Wayne and John. I do appreciate your posts. John, I have tried to contact the local GSCA chapter by dialing the number shown on their website. However, when I called, the message I got was that the number was no longer in service. I'll try to contact the national chapter and see if I have better luck. I'll also contact your friend Steve about the '67 GS he has for sale. If I have any problem contacting him, I'll contact you. Thanks again for the tip! :beers2:

    Best Regards,

    Roy

Someday I will own a nice Buick GS! :Brow: Thanks again, Wayne.

You know what, I'm just about the newest guy in here, and all I've been getting is advice. The only thing I can come up with is that you're asking the wrong question??!?!?!!??

    I don't know.

You really don't want to look in the "behind the scenes" section of the newest carcraft to see what the publisher bought for $4,000.00. off the street in LA. Maybe you should contact him and see if he wants to flip it.

I actually have experienced the same thing. Most success at getting parts and my car has been through ebay. Do not give up on the Buicks.
If you get a Buick contact and I will help you with what I have learned.

Thanks for your offer to help! I haven't given up on Buicks. Yes, I did look at other musclecars (shame on me!). But I have my heart set on a classic Buick GS (Particularly, a '67 GS 400 or a '69 -'72 Stage 1 A-body).That's what I really want! :TU:
