    It should be crooked and wrinkled!!!

    I told that to a guy once that was finishing his Concours resto up at the track. You should have seen him trying to get it on crooked with wrinkles.

    I was on the ground rolling watching him, but he still made me inspect it when he was done.

    The best description I ever heard about how they were installed was from Brad;

    He said they slapped it on as they ran past the trunk lid.

    The backside of the rear bumper had surface rust on it. I wire brushed any loose debris off it, washed it and applied a liberal coat of loctite rust neutralizer on the back side. I hope it stays purple!

    First real surprise- Inspecting the rear of the car I found a little rot hiding behind the rubber block. I wire brushed it and applied some more neutralizer on the front and back. Probably going to just let it be. It's pretty well hidden when the block is in place and it's not gonna get any worse. The days of this car sitting out in the street, in the weather are looooong gone! And by the time any of this rust becomes a real issue, I'll be long gone and a legend! Lol

    Jason, you could work in a little of that JB weld steel putty on it, works great. I just did a small spot I found on my 442 when the new windshield was put in. The guy let me fix it while he waited, sanded, primed and painted came out super.

    If anything, I'd probably put a little duraglass on it. And sand it. But I hesitate to really do anything beyond what I already did. What does everyone else think? Do more or leave it be?

    Fix it. Keep it small and spot it in. Just my 2 cents...

    If you can spot paint that area with matching yellow, then go for it.

    Then the radiator support cover decal has to go on crooked.:)

    How durable is the loctite in your experience? - If its as good as paint, leave it.

    Not sure what it's durability is, but im sure it's better than nothing. The bumper needed a second coat of neutralizer. Missed a few spots yesterday.....bumper goes back on tomorrow

    Should be. I want to get the tires on tomorrow or Thursday. Most of the bugs are worked out. I'm starting to trust the car a little more

    Jason any evidence of your car having the rubber strip on the lip where the bumper blocks go ? Should’ve been stapled on from the factory. You may want to start a parts wanted thread for one I sold a nice strip to Fritz a couple years ago.

    And the rust neutralizer turned black on the bumper. Wondering if I should bother painting it or just throw the bumper back on.

    What brand of headlight aimers are those. I would like a set and have a hard time finding that style. I remember using them back in 2005 on a few cars
