I wouldn't sweat it , from the inside it didn't look like anything major, I honestly think they just felt the need to use the ENTIRE gallon of mud because they bought it ha, I've dug an inch of mud out just to find a 6in long half in deep crease,...people do strange stuff ha

It does seem that there was way more filler than needed in there. Still shooting for a Sunday night or Monday prime coat.

I just found this thread. But I'm with Ethan and had another buddy look as well. From the inside it doesn't look bad at all. I hope I didn't mis-represent this car in any way. If so, it was never my intent.

No sweat at all jay, all good! No one would have been able to see this. Part of the deal :)

GS hood - check. I am going to run the skylark grille for now, due to budget constraints. Also here is what was under the filler...

What is that? Is that from an old school slide hammer dent puller with a screw on the end??

I think they are just hammer dents. I believe the metal was pounded in there so that the dent below them would pop out.

Body is in epoxy and high build primer. Tomorrow, the trunk lid, hood, and fenders get the primer. I don't have enough space to do it all in the same spot, so I have to put the tires back on the car and back it into the driveway while I prime the other parts.

Nice Adam! You guys are gettin with it!! When I got my car in primer that was the tipping point towards completion. Although your timeline has been much abbreviated compared to mine, its still a nice feeling I'm sure.

Smartin, what color you thinking about for the car?

It will be Titian red with black vinyl top. I never see any in this color, and I love that red.

Started body work on right side and left quarter today. I was going to try to get the other panels in primer today, but my help was MIA. So I knocked out a bunch of blocking.

Surprised you aren't going twilight turquoise. When I first signed up on this forum I think every other post of yours I read had that color mentioned. Great progress Adam, your stainless and restoration work is top notch. Remember folks, this is a guy churning out projects from his home garage.

Lol thanks...I wanted to stay correct with a factory 70 color. If I end up with another big 71, I will go with TT as the color.

I appreciate the compliments...I have a ton of fun doing this stuff

Well...some things aren't quite as much fun as installing shiny stainless on a freshly painted car :)

I hope your garage is air conditioned...I can't imagine blocking in this heat and humidity. It's brutal over here.
