There’s a lot of unused room in the Riviera quarters, thought I would fill it up, and it turns out I measured very well.

I'm now looking for matching front tires and rims, everyone has to make their own stock car one time, right?

Now I need clarity: Do I seek out matching or similar front rims and tires?
The fronts will have tread, but I'm not sure what direction to go for with wheels

    I'd definitely match them

Are you using those for drag racing or you going to run them year round? If for drag racing, just run what you've got on there, or find the lightest, skinniest fronts you can in the proper diameter. If for driving, definitely get matching rims.

Depending on how much I like the matching set, I may drive on them 50/50 split with my regular road wheels.

Once you get them hot, they will pick up every rock, twig, leaf on the road.:)

Get them hot just one time?

Oh really!, We'll see how long that lasts when you punch it the first time and it pins you into the seat instead of incinerating the tires.:D

Make sure to air them down to about 15 psi for the full effect when they're hot!

I swap out my front tires, Cooper Cobra Radial GTs 235/60-15s to Hoosier 26x4.5-15 skinnies at the track. My MT/ET Street drag radials , I run on the street and track.
3 seasons on the ETs, so far and around
50-60 1/4 miles passes and roughly 1500 miles a season regular driving ( if you could call driving one of our cars ,regular). I'd have to count my time slips for the real number of track passes.
I will say, DON'T DRIVE IN RAIN OR ON WET PAVEMENT.......JIM

Hey everyone, back to having problems again.

1st gear wont rev higher than about 4200 and will hold at that rpm, sounding like a rev limiter. Does this sound like a trans issue?

It will however free rev over this rpm in Park and Neutral with no issue

Talked to Mark Deconti, he is thinking it is much more likely to be a coil issue than anything else.
