Well, at least we haven't stoned Rick yet.......

I am half expecting to see a back halfed car with blower sticking out of the hood by the reaction to his car.

Looks like a nice stocker to me, and if Dan and Scott helped build it, I would take it on faith that it is built to the rule book.

So again, welcome to the best car event on the planet, Rick, and I can't wait to see where your little Ram Air II bird ends up in the brackets.... I am hoping just behind the L88's and just ahead of the Hemis :TU:

Rick welcome to the forum and the PS family. Even if we bicker a bit occasionally I know you will find several or all the people to be great to enjoy the venue with. Good luck getting dialed into racing on bias ply's and chasing those ET's.

Tim I have attached a couple items from the other forum that you stated you read. As I have tried to handle your personal attack in the most gentlemanly way I could. I did not attack you back personally and I do not want to here either. I truly believe you just missunderstood the PY forum.

But you must remember I also have let it go without comment in the past when you openly attacked me at Martin over the Boss this spring to others yet to the best of my knowledge you never even walked over and inspected the Boss. Yet you went straight away at me. I knew before Saturday was even half over from several people what had been said.

And since this thread I have heard you have done the same over the Judge. Again I will give you a pass.

But these are the last passes I will forgive, PERIOD.

I do still find it in poor taste that you attacked my brother, Dan, Scott and Rick. If you have a problem with me be man enough to address it directly in the future and not in a forum such as this or behind the scenes without me present. I will do the same for you. As you know rumors fly on many cars and yours has not been imune either. These rumors do no one any favors or promote good will in our favored event. I do not like these rumors no matter where they are directed.

In the spirit of good sportsmanship I would like to offer this to you or anyone really. The Boss has never been to my house and still sits at Dan's. If you would like go over to Dan's when you have a chance and review it thuroughly. Bring a bore scope if you wish and enjoy the adventure. I will say the MCA Trailered Gold Concours suspension that it ran on at Martin needs to be removed for further racing. I will not tear up a 30K mile car to axle hop just to run factory pieces in this case. You are welcome to inspect that also when we pick out what we will use.

Please reveiw the Judge next time also when you get a chance. You are more than welcome too.

We are slowly...building a RAIII GTO 4spd car. The motor is done but the car is well away from done. It is only taken apart and no further. It looks like ultimately JJ will be doing the body resto. Review the car at any stage you want once Jimmy actually gets it in the future. Plus you are welcome to review the motor at either the engine shop or at Dan's when he takes it over to his house for break in and painting by Scott. The intake will be off for painting. Look at the bottom end with the pan off and inspect the valve train also. Maybe Dan can even spin the cam so you can check lift. Plus review the HPP article on PS Prep School. It has pictures of all the parts before assembly and stages of assembly pictured of this very motor. NOTE the Melling cam!

Below are the parts of some posts you were referring to. Also remember when we were discussing 068 cams with Rob, Kirk and Lloyd primarily these guys want to change back from headers, cams to something more stock. They run ported heads, five speeds etc. They will never race or could race PS with their cars. They just want to look stocker and sound stocker while not giving up to much of their rpm and power from their current setups. These three know me well enough to have my home phone and we discuss this personally also. They are not just plain Joes to me. So mussing over fixing them up has no relationship to our races. Also remember I noted on the forum that Dan and I do not sell cams.

Secondly the car that has suspension mods started is noted below. This is a to be FAST car. A '69 Firebird. Have you ever seen my butt in a '69 Bird? No as I have never raced one at any of the FAST or PS events. Plus I have never personally raced a car with an 068 cam. The two car types or the cam type you noted I have never driven a car at any PS events. You may not remember that but that is how it is. I have only race a Road Runner, two Challengers, the Judge, Boss and SC/360.

Also note the transmission comments. They state even here that the trans is changing over to our FAST project. The trans was checked over by the builder and the case had to be changed to a BOP version.

Again it is an open book on purpose as I take being 100% above board and correct very seriously. That is why we did not do the test for Dan in secrecy. Although Dan says he now wish we did because of the attacks.

You have made several people very unhappy yet you never addressed any of us directly. And you did so to a great honest person that you had never met in Rick. I hope you will feel comfortable enough in the future to simply ask us and come over and enjoy a moment inspecting the cars and chatting over all the great times and fun that can be had at Stanton and Martin.

) We have tested the trans set up we are going with in a car that runs a PS setup. At that time we also tested our custom built tq converter. The test vehicle makes solid power. It would consistently turn lower 12.10's @ 115 mph on 1.82 short times with upper 12.08's as its fastest ever. We ran it on a day that had the worst air the car had ever run in. The air was 2500 feet and the car had run in air as low as 100 feet before but nothing ever over 2000. We did not re-jet or tune the car for the air. We simply tested the trans and converter. Our converter is very low on slip %. Anyhow the car ran the exact same short times as ever staying in the 1.82 range. The killer deal was the worst run of our test beat every previous run when comparing old time slips. Not only was its slowest time slip of the day better at 330', 594', 660', 1000' and 1/4 than the best it had ever previously run but the mph was up at every marker recorded. The converter was working because it was running the extra mph but was crossing the traps down 200 rpm from usual without all the slip of a normal high performance converter. The better thing is that it was now consistently running 11.8's@116.8. The test cars traction down track on gear changes seemed to be stronger also. The car was running steadily .3 faster and + 1.5 mph. We even left the spare and jack in which usually come out. So worse air and weight and the worst run of the day dominated the best ever. We are checking over the trans to make sure that test day did no harm. That will be our race setup for now.

    3) We have used our to be race vehicle set up as a PS car. The suspension work/testing we have done, on a decidedly much less powerful motor, was consistantly pulling most to all of the left front tire off the ground on luanch all three days we had it out testing. It hooked perfect down track also. Now lets not get too excited as the car makes a ton less power than what it will have to handle with a FAST motor. I am sure the apple cart will be good and upset by the major change in performance. It does offer an optimistic starting point for now though.

Sorry everyone for the long post. I just felt I had the right to correct a misconception and protect my character and the character of others. Especially because I write articles pertaining to these items and do tech inspections at Stanton. Integrity is most important for all to be able to trust the articles and inspection processes.

Thank you everyone for the time and consideration. Plus all the kind calls I received all weekend in support of myself and the others. And the support from people who know the cars are correct and have stated so.

    Welcome aboard, Rick.

I'm just thankful that I can participate in the race.
My dad is supposed to be coming to the race with me for the first time this September. No fighting in the pits, keep it on the track while you're behind the wheel. Let's have fun, no matter if you are paired up with Casey running 15's or Jimmy running 11's.

Mark this won't and ISN'T an attack on you or Family.

I wake up at 5 am every day- I goto bed at 12:30 or 1. I'm working far to much to sit up and sift through web site after web site for dirt on you or your friends and family. You have always been known to be well rounded and worded, myself a little ruff around the edges-thus not caring as much about the fallout of criticism. People send me stuff and links hoping that I would post and add FUEL to our fires. Stuff they would like to say yet , don't want there good name frowned upon.
This place is sometimes like High School ,Leak info to do your bidding. The same people that called you are probably the same calling me all weekend.

I HAVE NEVER attacked your brother- He is and I have said He is probably one of the nicest guys I have EVER meet. Matter of fact ,I never posted a negitive thing about him. You did. No one knew it was him.

Dan- I have great respect for. So much I went to him and BOB DIRECT months ago with paper in hand and info. I DID not Post it because I did not want to tarnish HIS name OR THE RACE! That was were He Himself told me he wished you could TONE it down ! (aka zip it)

Scott- What can I say ,that man is probably the Most competitive guy I have ever meet ! That's not bad!! If we had a RACE rolling Doughnuts down a hill, He'd find a way to streamline it! Great respect for him.

Rick is the one I feel bad for. Never meet him, Got caught up in our little pissin match. Sorry Rick, It was never about you. We had the vital stat's on the car before it even was finished . Beer and secrets Don't MIX ! Actually can't wait to see the car run.

Mark at Martin I did stop by to talk . You weren't there at that Time. I was told to go look at the double stack of gaskets under the valve covers and wondered what treasures might be found. The car RAN like a MOFO!!! I believe I mentioned It sounded like a chainsaw and I had my work cut out for me.( Gunna have to bring a bigger stick)( sounds like I'm bringing a knife to a GUN fight!) In the lanes I told you the car looks great and congrats on the times.
What did I miss? please tell..:Do No:

Any ways you're right about one thing. This has gone on long enough.
See you at Stanton. Talk to you before that.

Aha! Further proof that I'm on to something with my Unified Theory of Physics. No matter what the topic, it all comes down to DONUTS! Nothing else really matters.

By the way, the best way to streamline a donut is to eat it. :TU:
