Blue printed VIN door decal anyone?

I did a test fit of the decal on my door. The one shown is actually a little big so it does not fit as nice as it should. It comes alittle past the door edge. I will be using the other decal from a second source that fits much better. The print is also very close to original but the blue is a bit darker. After 40 years of fade it is tough to tell which color is closer but fit is very important as well. These will come with clear overlay as well.

 

Good deal, and thanks for the hard work on this as I can't imagine figuring everything out let alone just the logistics of it all.

Guy. I have been thinking about this for years. Finally have to get it done. My car and friends cars also getting close. Better to do it myself and help out others here as well.

Anyone out there who is still going to send money for these? I have a bunch completed for most of the guys that sent money orders. They will go out early this week. I need to order some more so let me know anyone who has not sent $ but still plans on it.

One thing to consider is some plants type may differ as I know this to be true on other GM autos. This is a very nice item that you are doing.

guys send small envelopes if you could. They fit better.

 

Some of you guys with early 70 cars may notice there is no set of beads below the latch where the decal goes. I believe eraly 70 stamped doors did not have these alignment beads. I have seen many early and even mid year cars with no beads and the decal was actually on a flat surface above the door latch like where a 4 door decal was. I have even seen an orignal GSX that was like this. Just a tip if interested.
