Our pre-registrations have exceeded where we wanted to be at this time, and more are still coming in daily. This should be a GREAT show. Jim Haas, Event Director
EXCELLENT !!! :TU: Jim - I take it that all the cars that would normally run in Bracket 1-4 at another event would ALL fall into Pro ??
Alan, not necessarily. Super Pro is electronics optional, Pro is NO electronics. I would expect the cutoff for the two to be around 12.00 or so... JH
Bruce, you can go to the event section of the BPG board, print the pre-reg form and mail it in, or just wait, and pay at the gate. The extra discount for early pre-reg has passed though. Jim
Put me in for winner of quick 16s. Like pigs will fly. Say, can we do like a golf tournament and have a calcutta? Put in a few wagers if you know what I mean? Of course this would be strictly off the record. And this message will self destruct in five seconds.
Jim, My car was running 11.20's in B.G. I really do not want to run with the box guys in Super Pro (only because I don't have a box). Do you know how & when the cutoff will be determined? I don't know if I can slow the car up all the way to the 12's. thanks
Thanks Jim, One of out local IHRA tracks does this and it works very well. You run either Box, or No-Box.
Maybe its just me, but I'm thinking that the NO BOX class is going to be HUGE! Could be cool to race a 17 second car in the first round to be followed by a low 10 second car in the next round. Sure will keep people on their toes. I know that I CANT wait....3 weeks and counting  23 days and counting down! By the way.....those are some pretty inticing payouts also! Gotta love that :Brow:
Pro class may have a good car count, but it won't be HUGE. We have Super Pro to step in between Q16 and Pro. So we should have a nice spread in classes, and very simple to administer. The majority of the tracks around the country run their programs this way, so we see no need to re-invent 4 bracket classes, when 2 will suffice just fine. Jim
Now that's what I'm talkin' about! sounds like an awsome payout schedule, should entice lots' of cars to do a little tuning before August 12th, Come out and have a Blast at the BPG event in Salem! Bruce
Mike, I'm certainly glad you added the second sentence.....because, of course, I'M going to win Q-16!! PS - I am. Really.
Prize Money Those are some really nice payouts. Great job by everyone that has been involved with putting this event together.
Can we double enter, once in pro and once in super pro. I run with no electronics but don't mind running with box cars. I will have no problem making the call for both classes. I do this all the time at the local drags. Not going to make it in for quick 16 or I would run that class, may try to qualify anyway.
