Well, guess what came in the mail today guys and gals?!!! OUR FIRST SAMPLES!!!! Let me tell you in advance on a personal note, I just had what I hope is the last of some surgery (yesterday) I will need for awhile but I am on some very strong pain meds so please bear with me. If you ask questions and I don't get right back with you I am probably getting more bed rest so don't feel I don't love ya or anything:laugh: Pain or not I am not going to leave this project hanging though. Spoke with Legendary today via e mail but will be talking with them on ordering details tomorrow. Initially it looks like negotiations have worked to have a 2 month window to buy them at $175 for a set (still waiting on confirmation on additional expense for 14 available colors). After that point, they will go up somewhere around $200, so I am ordering mine now. They sent me a passenger side in a red (think it shows the details better than the darker colors for our format here) as well as a black rear that I was able to get some half decent Tri-Shield shots of.There are a few legal details coming through the pipeline which should take approx. 2 more weeks and at that point they will go into full production! I will discuss with them tomorrow when the clock starts ticking on the 2 month window for our orders, and what is the soonest we can place our orders.Please wait so we can all be counted. Anyhow, this is hurting pretty bad sitting up at this keyboard, so I am going to close for now, but I will definitely be giving another update once I speak with Legendary tomorrow. For now though, it sure is nice to finally see one of these mats sitting in my hand, I think they came out very well for a first run:TU: Just imagine,..... this time next month or sooner (!) you may have a brand new set in your car!

Thanks for all the hard work! Do you know if the will be available in the darker red? I need a set for the front of my '65 GS and the red GS interior is a darker red. I have a set of NOS rear red mats and it would be awsome if the repos would match fairly close to them in color.
I'll take a set for a Sandalwood interior. Not sure what the colour names are. When it's convenient & you are feeling better. Appreciate the work you took on to get this done.

They are telling me as of yesterday they are going to offer 14 colors total , so I'll need them to clarify any different shades. Have to ask them about that also today.

Okay, you have the green light to pre-order on your credit card (still may have a 1 month wait). Legendary is waiting for their final paper work from GM which they said might be 2 weeks to a month.....(hopefully sooner). As of this morning,Legendary preferred one month at the special pricing, but we were able to compromise for the two months period . They are going to be discussing the mats with their sales team so they now know they are going to be offering them when you call. As he was the "Father" of Buick, and it was originally his family crest (Tri-Shield) I decided the confirmation code for special pricing should reflect something of Mr. David Dunbar Buick. So in honor of him and his families Coat of Arms the confirmation code when you call Legendary is: 91854 (September,1854 birthdate) Thanks , Fritz
To Carl and other folks who have asked: It was again confirmed today that they are expanding the colors available to 14. I requested new samples from them to post here, and he did specifically mention a "saddle" color although they told me from the beginning they were not trying to exactly match our colors. Rather they were going to offer general colors. Anyhow as soon as I get some new color sample's I'll post them. I also requested they send me a full set of mats (sent me only the red and black one so far) so that I can help confirm the fit of these in full size Buicks and other applications (like 73-74 GS body style)
