Re: Got em. I called today. They were holding my order because they didn't know what county I resided in (for tax purposes????) It's a good thing I called because they surely wouldn't have called me even though my card was charged back on 7/20/07. It is on it's way now.

Question, you guys that are getting yours when did you order. Actually ordered mine around May 16th, made the pre-order the same time I was ordering my kick panels carpets. Then I had to return the wrong carpets that were sent, so everytime I coordinated the carpets I would check on the mats. Anyway I guess that my order was finally made July 23rd officially for the mats which I have no idea how that date was picked. Also they have now told me that they had bad roles of vinyl and that mine was towards the top of the list but because of the bad vinyl??? Kind of bumbed a little now, I used to tow my chevelle every labor day to the AACA show in a park in Latrobe PA (where I am originally from). I have not taken the Buick to even one event ever cause I have mainly been fixing some mechanical issues, but it is finally coming together, doesnt look like I will have the mats for that weekend, big time bummer considering I never thought the rest of the car would have come this far over summer. Anyway I didnt get mad at them and am almost over it already, but had to vent to people that would understand, as opposed to everyone in the office today, dont think they would quite get it. Also really excited to see how these mats look, my interior is black carpet and dash, with the rest of the interior that pearl white so these mats should match awesome. The white tri-shield should set the floor off awesome!!
My wife just called, the mats were just delivered. Can't wait to get home to see them (man, my life must really be boring if this is what I want to go home to!!!! Hope my wife doesn't read this!). By the way, I pre-ordered on May 20. Keith

Got mine yesterday, some comments. Compared to the originals, the new ones are a lot thinner. They are also much more flexible, but that's probably due to the fact that the originals are over 40 years old. They are also very shiny, I would have expected them to have more of a matte finish. Also, the rears are not quite as wide as the originals. Finally, the driver mat has the "flap" behind the gas pedal that I'm going to need to cut off. There is no groove or line in the plastic to help me do this, any ideas out there? I though about using a very sharp knife, but I'd really like to have a rounded or molded edge as opposed to the sharp edge this would leave. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the mats. My originals are going in the trunk, and the new ones are going in the car this weekend. I called today to check on mine and they said there was a problem with the black ones. It may take another 3-4 weeks. I can wait - its been a year since this started! - Bill
They said some black ones went out. This is a problem with their last batch of black material they received. I guess you were earlier than me in their order book - lucky you! - Bill
