Michael Moore is your basic jagoff thats making a mint right now by drawing attention to himself. Only in America I say. He really messed up though putting out a film that accuses so much when the missions of this administration are incomplete, and could extend four more years. By the time all is said and done, much of this film will have been proven to be hogwash. And the big fat man will be wealthier still.

I'm sure I could call you something that relates to you (scrawny/fat right wing bastard!) but the last time I checked, we compared to others on the internet by ideas, not image.

 

I can't comment on the movie because I haven't seen it but I do wonder about the purpose as the vast majority of people who will see it already agree with Moore's views and those who don't won't see it anyhow. I guess it could just be entertainment because I sure am entertained by people's reactions (although predictable they may be).

Moore is just a left wing version of Rush Limbaugh and the like. They use extreme political views to piss of the other side all for the sake of entertainment but at least Moore has at times made me laugh. Something the right wing shock jocks have failed to do. Not because I disagree with their politics but because they just aren't funny. "They're not supposed to be funny" some might say but to that I say "then what good are they"?

Maybe the reason why people are so pissed over this movie is not because it calls peoples political beliefs into question but because it makes fun of them (again, I haven't seen it, I'm just judging by most of Moore's past work). Remember when you were a kid? Nothing could start a fight faster than making fun of someone. "Hey, you made people laugh at me so now I'm going to punch you in the nose!" And, it was especially bad if what they were teasing you about was true!

Anyhow, no movie (or anything else for that matter) will ever sway the minds of the political extremists right or left and that bothers me. Anyone who stedfastly believes that their side is always right and that the other side cannot ever have a good idea or even one worth considering just plain scares me. In my life's experience however, I have to say that I've seen this more with the right which I guess would also explain some of the reactions to this movie.

Being fat or skinny is a lifestyle choice, being born male or female is the miracle of nature.

In other words, you can choose to either be fat or skinny depending on how you live your life.
You can't choose to be a man or a woman.

I have no problem with people that are heavy, skinny, too tall too short etc..
You still keep missing the point on why Michael Moore is such a hypocrit, so I'll try and make it easier.

Imagine your having dinner at a restaraunt with your wife. A big fat man comes up to you and starts insanely yelling in your face that you shouldn't be eating that hamburger because it's going to make you fat. He then proceeds to ask you how can you be so stupid and ignorant to sit here and eat that hamburger.

He then turns around, sits down at a table and proceeds to eat 10 hamburgers.

That is a simplified explanation of Michael Moore in a nutshell. :grin:

About Roger and Me

I think that in this movie, MM was patriotic as he defended the American people's right to build the Buicks that they were going to buy.
He did something similar in Downsize This.
I think he does care more about America and Americans than most corporations do.
I liked when he said about Republicans and Democrats that they represented the interests of 2% of the Americans and the other 98% didn't have a party that represented them.

Today, we had elections here in Canada and I voted for the N.P.D. as both the Conservatives (similar to the Republicans) and Liberals (similar to the Democrats) are too far right for me!

BTW, A.N.S.W.E.R. and HAMAS both highly recomend seeing Fahrenhiet 911 and we all know what upstanding, truthful organizations they are. Communists and people that blow up bus loads of children obviously know a good movie when they see one.
