What's the last minute schedule for folks?

Like I said before most all my seat time will be in the pits before the Stanton Pure Stock Race. :3gears:

Still haven't fixed the oil leak on the Ramrod or figuered out the loss of rear brakes. Hope to have some time to investigate after this weekend. Oil leak is getting worse and worse, wondering now if it's a cracked oil pan. May have to try the Stefina pit fix or a baby diaper and duct tape! Brakes came up when I refilled the rear chamber of the M.C. No visible leaks, wondering about the shoe adjustment. Everything was new 4 years ago. Those smoky burnouts over the last 4 years may have taken out the rear linings. Pedal comes up a lot when I apply the emergency brake (which is also on the floor) Wondering about the self adjusters in backwards. :Do No:

Am I the only one with problems?

The cougar eliminator is almost finished. Drove it for the first time this weekend only to encounter new problems. The newly rebuilt toploader mated to a unrebuilt hurst shifter won't power shift in 2nd or 4th. Also the rebuilt holley must have ingested a piece of trash, won't idle now and will only run if you keep it pumped to around 2500 RPM. Looks like it's going to come down to the wire. Nine days left for me. Oh well I'll be there with something if I can't finish the cougar. Hope every one is having better luck than me. Sure to have a good time either way. :beer

    AMC's don't leak,they mark their territory!
All we need to do is repack bearings on the trailer, new exhaust, clutch, change the gear and tune the car.

Wife needs new washer and dryer, more shelfs in closet, replace broken leg on table, clean the computer room, mow the grass, you get the idea.

I guess its time to shut down this computer and start working. See you all soon.

just put new valve seals on and a new set of plugs , checked my oil pressure with a good guage and its not as terminal as i though, though the leakdown was 20% plus . :Dou:

next on the list is a tach that reads a little more correctly and trying to hook up and hide the shift light :Brow: and the rev limiter

if i had gotten off my can i might have had the new engine built and installed , but that was wishful thinking , maybe next year :Do No:

trying to keep the car looking period correct , its a pet peeve of mine .

the sun super tac II in the car was not reading correctly and didn't look right , i thought the sun super tach i had was a II also but a week or so ago i found it , covered and somewhat filled with oil and the needle wouldn't return back to zero . i decided if its junk whats the harm in opening it up , once i figured that out i found one of the screws holding the circuit board under the needle movement behind the faceplate and the trigger wire internal was melted , the car it was on had the engine harness fry when the altenator shorted .

i called williamson and they wanted 180 bucks to fix it and i couldn't find anything that was worth the money on ebag so i replaced the wire and connected it up last night , its 200 rpm high at idle but seems right on according to my matco timing light with the rpm meter built in from 2000 on up 9 i did notice the needle was off zero , reset that but i haven't retested it yet ) . i can attach the shift light to the outside of the tach for now and remove it but i'd rather keep it out of sight. i may stick it on the side of my oil pressure guage for now but i need to see it its bright enough . if there was a way to get inside the cowl of the dart i'd try to put it in there , at least it will be somewhat in my field of view . ya , i know TMI ... :boring:

i need to spend less time on this silly stuff and more time screwing together my STOCKER 383 :spank:
