Gotta service the Dmax and load the trailer, and then we'll be under way sometime around dark-30 this evening...as for the Camaro, we got a front brake dragging pretty hard on the driver's side, that even new calipers/hoses didn't fix? :Do No: And we still have the same plugs, fuel, etc, from this time last year, so a quick tune-up will be in order once we stop rolling...

What? I have heard of more than one person in my life using beer case cardboard for a carb gasket. I believe that is why Team Stefina has some much material for backup! Three carbs require alot of gasket making material! :Dou:

Well if you miss this one you can catch one of the other three.......

Oh wait it only happens once a year! :eek2:

Keep it up Paul! I know you and Donny (in between naps) can do it!

Remember we have all learned from Tim Clary.....you can finish a car in the hotel lot and pit area. :TU:

Trouble all around. Warmed up the LS6 last night to check if new gasket is solid. Gave it a bit of rpm and it spit out the gasket like an M80 was attached. ??? Going to try one different item and then take off the original one from the old motor. The new one is killing me.

SC RUNS! all was well and the cam was broken in. Went to pull it off the lift last night around 10:00 and whats this? Must need some clutch adjustment. Nope the rear end I sent out for new axles, posi, gears... Is locked on one side and nothing on the other... Out comes the axle, phone call to owner of shop, at said shop already, promised by noon... I want to cry uncle but my buddy helping is an AMC nut and is determined I will be racing AMC's tomorrow. I hear the pitter patter of Judge foot steps in the hall or the meep meep of a Road Runner horn, he hears nothing but AMC chirps. Worse comes to worse I have the identicle dana 20 axle for the Scrambler laying in the corner and may steal it for the weekend. If all is not well by 6:00 tonight I am officially putting an end to this madness. I was washing the truck/trailer at midnight by spot light. I need sleep.

Your welcome Bruno and it was a pleasure as it was the only thing that has gone well!

    Last Call

    Mark,
Just got in from my last minute duties and saw this post.
Not sure if this is destiny or not ,but Dan J. is suppose to bring an AMC Model 20 rear axle ,drum to drum for a 2 seat AMX ,to the race this weekend, for me to pick up.
Not sure if it's a bolt in or not, but it is a twin grip,it supposed to be at the track, and you can beat on it if you so wish.I believe it has a 3.54 screw ,but could be a 3.15.Everything worked fine when I last drove on it.
Anyhow,if you want to continue the madness, call him to make sure he brought it, then check with Rich R. to see if it will fit. :Dou:
