When I get it back home, it'll be covered up. I might actually do something with it. It has only 72K miles on it and the interior is actually still really nice. I cleaned most of the broken glass out of it. The upholstery/door panels are surprisingly nice. The rear bumper is the only thing missing. And I have seen a lot worse for rust. The engine is supposed to run great.

Yes. The owner passed away from cancer early in the year and his son has taken over. It's pretty much a one man operation and a small but crowded yard. I don't know what the erratic hours are all about, though.

The previous page shows pics of my truck and trailer after being hit by a redlight runner near 2manybuicks' place in Lauderdale. Wow, this past Thursday while in Cartersville ,Ga. to look at a Duramax Chevy truck, ANOTHER redlight runner took out my trailer and my friend's '64 Olds Starfire on it that we just picked up in Kingsport,Tenn. This time the rear axle and wheel are severely bent along with siderail and tail light bracket damage. Ripped it right off. Caved the 1/4 panel in on the 67K mile virgin unmolested '64 Starfire. And it was another red pickup but a super clean '96 Z71 Silverado. The elderly man could have driven it away if his tie rod hadn't have broken. We stopped at Old Car City USA in White,Ga just before the wreck. They were even open! Some cool old Buicks-69 Riviera,a couple of 57 Supers,64 Rivi, and more. just one shot of the front section at Old Car City and a shot of the Starfire right after we loaded it. The parts are all there. The fellow that had it contracted brain cancer and passed on recently. he removed trim etc to prep for paint. My friend got the car from the widow for $1,000. My camera was acting up because of junk made in China AA batteries. Man they make pure junk. Most of the new batteries in the pack were just dead. I found a place in town right after we returned that sells the AA and AAA batteries made in Germany. These work great and hold a strong charge.

Thanks George. I need to find another aluminium trailer to replace my busted up one. When I get the Dooley I am going to need a 2 car hauler trailer. Right now I can't even haul anything.

Right now I can't even haul anything.

if you get desperate, i can probably make arrangements or hook you up with somebody's race car trailer.

also, Amera Trail down in Saint Cloud can fix that, i'm sure.

If the redlight runner's insurance covers this, it will go to Featherlite if anything but I'd rather get enough to just get another preowned trailer. I can't be without a trailer for 2 or 3 months.

Weather was really cold and then a snowstorm was coming late Friday night so got the hell out of there. I even found a late model Toyota van at a junkyard that was impounded/abandoned which was the basis for this trip. It was an extremely good deal because I wouldn't normally buy a Toyota. My wife can drive it.:Brow:

I went to this private junkyard sale this morning near Seminole and there was some real rotted junk there, but quite interesting. Bought the '59 Dodge for a fellow in Sweden. He just needs trim pieces. No Buicks, though. Other people got all the really good stuff a few years ago. These are just the sleftover scraps.
