I think that is a problem common to Electra owners. Mine only fits in the garage if I back it in.

I drove it out of my garage this weekend. Complete frame off, new everything. The nicest car I've ever done. I hate to say it, but it's pretty!
Pics should be in order from beginning to end.

    Harvey, Beautiful job...

Where'd you get the steering wheel? repro or original?

    Thank you for the compliments!

Ray, yes I bought the car spring 2008. Paint and body work timing worked in my favor. I got the car back from the paint shop in December so it's taken 8 months to get on the street.

Ian, the wheel is a stock Buick wheel. The wheel came without hub, etc so I purchased a repro hub from Parts Place and a Grant install kit.

I look forward to seeing the car in person one day soon! What are your plans for the car? Do I need to get on a waiting list now :Brow: :beers2:

    Thanks Doug
You know me well, don't you! But I just might fool everyone and keep this one. :3gears: I might take it to Langley this year. I've once before and it was a bit overwhelming with all the cars. Have you been there?

    Harvey;
I will go to the Langley show as a spectator, but don't generally bring the car. With so many cars and people running around, I prefer not to have to worry about my car and just enjoy looking at others.

Nando and I are heading up to Sechelt this weekend for the Sleepy Hollow Rod Run & Show. The Electra will go if the weather holds. It should be fun with a cruise (400+ cars) from Sechelt to Half Moon Bay and back on Friday and the show on Saturday. There is also drag racing at the Sechelt airport on Sunday.

You may be interested in a BOP cruise from Tacoma to Port Townsend on Sept 26. I'm thinking of attending with the family, should be a fun day! I can email you the info if you're interested.

    Take care!
    Doug

    Hi Harvey,

Another fine example of the quality work you sweat out in a restoration of a fairly rare Buick. Now, tell me: is the other '67; the 4-speed convertible, going to be next for the magic touch? Please don't say you'll be financing the next project with the proceeds from the sale of this car. If so, the new owner will be very satisfied with this GS. I suspect you won't make a decision 'til next year. In the meantime, I hope you, and your wife get lots of enjoyment driving throughout the rest of our beautiful summer.

    Take care,

    Nando.

    Hi Nando
Yes, the red 4 speed will be my next and last project. It will be a 2 or 3 year project. So, no, I won't be selling the green one anytime soon cause I can't be without a car for another couple of years. Thank you very much for the compliments. Will we see you in Langley? With our new bridge Langley is only 15 minutes away. We love it.
    Cheers
    Harvey

Re: My 67 GS400 convert resto complete

    Hi Harvey,

The Langley Good Times Cruise-In is on September 12. I don't know quite, yet, if I'll attend. This is the largest event of the year, for car buffs. But in speaking to Doug F., I may be interested in the BOP cruise in Washington on September 26th.
You know, with the Buick owners I've met just this year, who have finished their project cars, and are ready to drive them, it's possible we could have a Buick-only gathering this late summer. I prefer a park setting, and as long as the date doesn't conflict with other show events, it could be organized. Any thoughts?

    Take care,

    Nando.
