She looks real nice Rob! Nice job on the patch panel install... did you have the car buffed, the paint and chrome look fantastic :TU:

Thanks Doug. I have not done any work on the chrome. The paint for most of the car is from the prior owner (except for the newly painted/repaired quarters) and is very nice although it has some areas that are not as fine as others. The mid sections of the car (doors especially) are the most in need of a little work to make them look as good as the rest of the car. Overall though I'm real happy with the car.

I've been working on the engine in my 1960 Electra all summer and fall. Now that it's running, I've begun the body work. Filling, Sanding, and painting(with a paint brush). :)
I'm not building a race car like some of you guys. This is actually going to be my daily driver. It does have a 401 ci wildcat 445 nailhead, so there's plenty of power without adding any special racing stuff.

I love it. Purrrrrsss like a really really big kitten. :)

I'll put more pics in member's rides as the work progresses.

Looks sweet Rob! I didn't even know you posted these pics. No skirts? I'm a little embarrassed to put pics of my girl up here just yet. Soon, but not just yet.

    Hi Shawn,

I had not seen your post until today. Thanks for the comments. I have the skirts and I keep them in the trunk. I'm just not a big fan of that look on the car. I know I'm in the minority, but I think the Electras of that era look cooler without them.

How is your parts search going? Have you located the parts you were looking for? The only thing I can't find is the interior door pull handle. Those things are scarce.

Cool car! The '59 and '60 Electras both have a great look/design.
