They did come with 4 speeds. Like the way old "shifty" Brian is steering this to his advantage (4 speeds only)    JJ will be in high demand for this race. Sign him up quick!
It`s "ON" and has been..... :TU: The Hot Rod deal was locked in solid before MCE was even contacted about the Pure Stock H&B shoot-out. Two Hemi vs Buick`s will happen in Sept by two different magazines, but they couldn`t be futher apart. The Hot Rod SHOOT-OUT will be using the F.A.S.T. rules and SLICKS. :TU:
I guess one has to wonder why Greg Gessler's car isn't the FAST representative for Buick ?? I'd hate to build a car to run against a guy who is building his second car to run in a series he helped write the rules for........
Just talked to Gessler and he would be interested in Representing Buick in F.A.S.T. Let's not forget Their are more than only one PS and F.A.S.T. Buick and Hemi.
Hats.. I do usually wear a hat! That day I did not.Bad Idea....Can anybody put a full head of hair on me in that picture? Its been almost 20 years and I've forgotton what its like have an actual hair-do.
Dave Dudek did you ever get that Brown Truck to give up the Hemi Head,if not I might be talked into lending you one of my small motors, only 540 Ci Hemi, runs good with slicks too. F.A.S.T rules are allowing slicks now?Maybe the 65 Dodge can run that Weekend,I will see what is on for that weekend and I might go with the car or just for the drive.
Greg was contacted about this shoot-out for Hot Rod magazine and he was instrested. He said he needed time to think about it, after a week of thinking about it he decided not to offer his car up. Donny, our rules are written in English and have been basically the same for years now. My car will not get a Green light in tech? Both the Buick and the Road Runner will have to pass the rules as written. Because I helped draft the rules 5 years ago are you saying the rules are in my favor? Jim (the buick guy) and I are building two cars from the ground up. What are you getting at? What do you see in the rules that would give me a clear advantage because I help form them years ago? Do you really think Dan Jensen has a clear advantage in a PS forum because he wrote the rules for his race? Damn... I was only 1 of 4 guy`s who helped with the rules.. Also Wayne Nelson will be there at the shoot-out wearing a set of slicks. The Hot Rod deal will be a Buick vs Hemi, but after that`s over the winner will have a shot at Nelson on slicks. :blast: I think it`s gonna be a good time for a few guy`s to take their gloves off and battle it out. Lot`s of fun!! Wayne, Jim, & I are all very excited to be choosen for this shoot-out.
I need to rephrase my last comment there is only one F.A.S.T. - and no P/S Buicks and way to many Hemis willing to run ou: Hemmings has given us the go ahaed, I have made some calls today and have 4 F.A.S.T. Hemi cars ready and 3 Pure Stock Hemi Cars but know Buicks yet! The Rules would be P/S Rules or F.A.S.T. Rules With Slicks. Any Buick takers please let me know
I knew I was going to get whacked for that.......... ou: You know the rules inside and out, so, unless the Buick guy is getting every part approved, with suggestions made for 'more legal that what you are using' parts, and every other edge you have learned handed to him, I would guess his car will not be "FAST advanced" as your car will be. You know every mistake you made with the purple car. You have helped tech the cars and learned from others. As impressive as the purple car was, it is reasonable to expect that your second car will incorporate everything you have learned. I am not saying you will be 'given a green light', but you have to admit the Buick guy is betting against the house building a car to race you... BTW: Dan refuses to run at his event..
