I had that problem when I put my Regal together the first time. I finally said to myself, self, either start on the front and work your way back or start on the back and work forward. It seemed I got alot more done that way but I didn't have a pit crew like you even though you say they only want to work for an hour and drink beer for the next three. Come to think of it I think I like there way better. Regardless, you will get it done and it will be worth all the trouble in the end.

Yah, your right. They are doing it correctly, hangin' with the guys and having fun was the plan when I started. Now that I can see the light at the tunnel I feel like Running to the end!!!! That always makes things seem like they are going in slow motion.

Good idea, I will shoot for the interior this weekend and early next week. Then I'll shoot for one task at a time. I get fooled when too many loose ends pop up. Missing a part here so start the next. Missed a part there so start the next... etc. Still fun, still can see the light, but wow, lots more to do when you start from nothing.

"cool beans" as a guy I work with always says. Thanks for the input and keep it coming. You guys who have written so far have saved me some gripe to say the least. :TU:

For the record, one coat has been applied to the super cage! lol. I can still taste the semi gloss from yesterday...... kack, its real good :beers2:

Hey that is good info. I guess the next step would be to check out a side shot of your ride, and perhaps a quick comparison as to your weight and mine..Tire height front and rear? . Would love to take a closer look!

    Thanks !

The interior is in :TU: We are pretty sure NO ONE over 80lbs will make the gap between the front passenger seat and the cage, in other words, the rear seat is for show... oh well.

Need to install the seats yet... We just set them in for an idea of what it will look like.

Also got some bad news yesterday. The front header we found will not work. The guy took the paint off and the thing fell apart. Too many years in the barn tore it up, and it had been repaired in the past. Still need a frnt header panel. :ball:

lol , what should it cost? or what did it cost!
25.5 cage, chromoly, $2600 to $3500 . Depends on what you want.

You can get the smaller "pro cage" at 8.5 sec and slower for $1600 to 2500, depending on who you find. The 25.5 "funny car cage” is extra. That would be for the 7.5 cars and slower. But if you go Pro cage first, then upgrade later, the cost will end up being more as they hack out most of your pro cage and start over. After speaking with a couple of folks it was decided that spending the extra up front would be best in the long run.

My car goes for its first cert this sat at 9:00 am, way cool!!!!!!!!

    Good luck !

It passed the 8.5 cert. :TU: Going to need a tweak in a spot or two for the 7.5 sec.. But that is a Loooong way out.

I finally have the front end all worked out, thanks to some really generous folks here on the board

All I need is the drivers side bumper filler and some flat black primer and were off!!!!!!!

I should have some pictures of it all mocked up tomorrow night :bglasses:

Some special ordered engine parts are the hold up right now.

Did you ride home in the trailer with that front end and sand on it all the way or is that the aftermarket one you also bought? Either way it looks good. Funny what watching Buicks (especially Regals) go down Beech Bends track will do to your modivation factor isn't it? :pp :pp
