if you notch the frame the 4.5 inch offset will work fine. you can use a insert and widen the factory wheel well and most wont even notice as far as the 30 inch tall tire depending on how tall the car sits and how much flexn the chassis will do you should easily work i run a 295/65/15 which is a solid 30inch plus tall tire you may have to do sum work on the outer quarter especialy on tha right side when or if the chassis twist

I have air bags and the HD Regal coils in the back. The fronts are Moroso drag springs (middle rate in the catalog) and comp engineering shocks. I should be able to see the ride hight tonight. The guy doing the roll cage and cross member should be able to help with this. I will pass on your information
    Which is greatly appreciated :TU:

Dig my Chevelle with the turbo rims! kack -- temp..... Joey the pit dog doesn't like it either...

Got the rear arp studs in tonight... It took an hour for the drivers side and 10 min for the pass. First time for that not including last weeks fronts. Got er down pat now.

Joey my dog is pictured above, he helps with advise. Joey brought in his 100th documented kill in the barn last week. Good boy. We started keeping track just a few years ago. He's 10.

You can see next weeks stuff. Ignition, tack, rad and trans cooler. I still need to bolt in the rear end and lower boxed controll arms. Oh ya, the G-Body "A" arms are in as well.

Mike,I just installed my G-Body A arms also. What do you think of... how they do not have limit bumpers( nothing to stop the suspension from toping out)? Brian assured me it wasn't an issue and that GN's were running into the 8's with them.I am unshure of the best specs for my alignment. How are you going to set up your front/end alignment?

Ya, not sure on the a arm hitting the frame on wheels up stuff? rubber snubber on the frame closest to the firewall was all I can think of? Other than you and I racing down the 1/4 and see not who wins, but who still has a car rolling straight!

I just put the stock shims back in the old location. Figured the alignment shop would do the rest. Did you put the all flat side of the a arm (long) bolt towards the tire? I asked the cute sounding girl at G-Body which way should I put it, she said " the same way you took it off, the guy you really need to talk to is not here" !!!!!

Does your ball joint rubber boot come off the spindle when fully extended? Mine does by 1/8" ?

Yes, one of the wheel studs is not seated. i need to hit them with the impact. Stop me in the pits if forgot

Yes, same scenario with the balljoints.
Going straight after all of this... would be great:puzzled:

I guess the grease level should be loooowwww...

Finally, we have brakes and new upper a arms. The new lower ball joints were put on last summer.

    KICK ASS :blast: :blast: :blast:

The ride height has been established! AFTER 2 years the mighty t-type sits on its own four legs........ :TU: We think the weight in the front end is close. But I guess it doesn’t matter since when I put my 185lb but on the grill it didn't move any more than what we have right now. lol.. Dukes of hazard, "No, I really Want to Fu..k it!" lol..................... :beers2:

A closer look at the ride hight and we noticed the front was ALL the way up, springs are too tight  They are Moroso "middle rate" for the GN. With my 320lb buddy and me on the front bumper mount the A arms are level. I hope they settle cuz I am not adding another 500lbs to the front. The directions says we can cut One coil from the springs..... Hope that helps.

Had the same problem on a Malibu (G) body car after replacing the stock springs with Moroso ones. The car set up to high in the front end but I ran it that way for awhile. After cutting one coil out of the springs the car sat like I wanted and picked-up about 1 1/2 mile per hour in the quarter due to the wind going over the hood instead of under the car. Question though, when you say "middle rate" do you mean by front end weight? I thought that was how I figured which ones I needed and how the springs were rated. My Regal really sat low in the front with the iron headed BBC motor but my BBB motor with aluminum heads, etc, is about 200lbs less so I'm wondering if I will need to cuts some coils when I get it off jack stands. Word of caution though, you can do all the bouncing you want on the front end but I found from experience it won't really settle until you make a few passes down the track or a few burn-outs with it especially if it has been setting on jack stands for awhile. Rule of thumb,, check ride height, cut only one coil at a time, make additional adjustment as required.

It has already loosened up a touch... I will go with that, meaning I am going to drive it for a bit and see what happens. We think the rate was 242 (lb in?) The Middle rate was 242, light was 214? and 250+ for the heavy ones.

Lets see. The rad is mounted. The Trans cooler is mounted. I found out why the car wouldn't roll very far. Take a close look at the Wilwood caliper. See where it was hitting the rims! I ground the high spots off the China Jegs ,Prostar, knock offs and some off of the calipers. Clears now.

The rear cover is in and it fits! Next week I will need to finish the fuel return line. It is all finished but the last fitting for the fuel cell, and perhaps another clamp or two.

I still don't like the front being so high........

    Thanks :TU:

Anyone need a set of 242lb Moroso springs for their GN , Regal? lol, as you can see from the picture below (Dan D taking a ride on the car) , the front is stiff!
We ordered these because my buddy's GN and t-type have the same rate 242's. We must have removed a bit more weight than we thought we would..

The front cover is done ... Might switch it over using the finishline scavenger though.. The entire ignition system is done. I need to wire it all yet. The MSD "pro billet" is set up with two blue springs and the stock bushing. Not sure how else to set it up yet.

Aluminum 20 gal with sender from Jegs. The lines are Aeromotive braided, 10 up and 8an back.

Should have chosen the alum color, or un -painted....

Yep, going with Finishline Motorsports Scavenger system. Ordered the R&R aluminum rods, oil pan with baffles, cam and lifters the other day :TU: :TU:

The intake manifold is almost done. Also have a V.E.D. carb shear plate on the way. Should be cool.
