Well.....Kylie brought her sister Heather's kids(Jadyn 4 years, Dylan 10 months)...our grandkids...home for spring break from North Carolina and i did not work on the 'Cat for over a week.....gotta love them kids when you can :TU:

The headlight mounting assemblies are done and awaiting new bulbs....suggestions anyone ? Oh yeah,.....wear your gloves when buffing those stainless headlight rings.....those screw tabs could take a FINGER off if the buffer grabbed it :(

Well, i did the best i could with the the original "fuzz" cover headliner...... took scotch-brite to them and knocked the fuzz off...then took the $110.00 a quart Cameo White dye(thinned it 50%) and rolled it on with some sponge mini rollers :Brow:

Actually looks pretty good and i'm re-using all the original stuff.
Headliner back in tomorrow and the interior should go smoothly......

And in the ongoing effort to re-use the original parts.......i dyed(the MAD spray bomber:Brow: ) the factory carpets from Allen Industries in Compton California :pp

In process......bottom edge is not dyed.....can ran out.....off to AutoZone....
    After.......

Just thought I'd share some photos of our Wildcats at the recent Australian Buick Nationals.
Mine is the 65 alongside two 66 Cats

Wish we could attend the Wildcat Nationals with you but as we can't we had our own mini Wildcat National Meet.

Our plan for our next Nationals in Tasmania in September 2012 is to gather as may Wildcats of all years as we can.

    Cheers:beer

Cleaned up and repainted the rear seat speaker housing in advance of mounting on the seat back.

A very tight masking job with clean release painters grade tape.....

    Looks like New now...... :pp

Installed a NOS 6x9 speaker and mounted the housing in the seat back.........

Then and Now Restoration in Georgia did the seats and and the dye job on the inner skins plus all the other seat parts.
If you want the best.....Mark Reeves and the guy's there are who you want.....they do all makes but are VERY Buick friendly!
The 66 Wildcat custom interior seat pattern is not an easy one to reproduce.........these seat covers look like Buick made them.

    Thanks Mark :TU:

    Installed.........

More soon.......i have the INGSCA coming to the Cat's Lair tomorrow for a Turbo car ECM and scan tool usage tech session :3gears:

The NOS muffler/tailpipe hangers saw the light of day for the first time in 20 years today........

Had to elongate the mounting holes so the 3 inch clamps would have room.

    MORE TOMORROW......

Well, the old threaded rod and T bar trick made the passenger side front suspension a BREEZE to install. Just dropped the rod thru the shock bolt hole and the spring and lower control arm and put on the tee bar with a nut and start tightening.......easier said than done.....but once you do :beer

Actually pulled the lower control arm bushing into alignment with the pivot bolt holes and it went right in !

Here's the almost finished PS with the front brake assembly installed.....

Long saved NOS OEM DELCO Pleasurizers are ready for install :pp

    More soon....did i tell you there's a WILDCAT NATIONALS !
